When the Fate Changes

Chapter 17

HILLARY

I didn't really go home and I want to surprise Ellie for sleeping to her house without her consent. As I ring the doorbell near the gate no one's coming outside. I know it's already dark and it's alredy time to sleep but Ellie doesn't really sleep early. She's a nighter type of girl.

I tried to call her and after a minute she answers her phone.

"I'm outside your house right now" I said.

"What? I'm not in the house." she said.

"Where are you? I want to sleep with you today."

"Just wait for me, I'm with someone and this is really important"

"Where?"

"It's a secret... Bye" she turned off the call. I actually got curious about the important person she's saying. I think she got a new boyfriend that she doesn't tell me. She's becoming more suspicious now.

I want to know whom she was meeting this late at night but I don't know where to find her. There's only place that we always go but I'm not sure if she's there together with the important person. I still want to make sure.

I rode a taxi to go to the restaurant we always hang out that was actually 20 minutes far from my house. I'm actually feeling nervous that if she's not here I only wasted my money for transportation. I'm actually just good at wasting but not saving.

I went inside the restaurant. It was actually a 2-floor- building restaurant and some foods here was way expensive. This is where my money always got wasted. We always want to the 2nd floor because we always thought that it feels rich when you're at the top. I was roaming and looking to every corner of the restaurant.

At last, I found Ellie. I tried to look at the person she's with and it was a girl. Is she already a lesbian because no men was attracted to her? I know that will never happen. The girl was actually familiar to me and it seems like I already saw her somewhere but I don't really remember where.

"Ellie!" I shouted her name and some people looked at me but it's not really crowded inside since it's a semi-expensive restaurant. I waved at her smiling. I saw her expression and it was really funny for me. It really looks like she doesn't want me to be here but I still walk towards them.

"What are you doing here?" she asked. I sit infront of the girl beside Ellie.

"I don't want to wait outside your house" I said, the girl literally laugh on what I said.

"Hi" the girl said and I greeted her back.

"She's Hillary, a doctor from the hospital I work to" Ellie said while introducing me.

"Hi, Dr. Hillary. I'm... Tammy" as I heard her name something just flashes inside my head.

"She looks so young in this pic" Mr. Dylan said while smiling.

"I think she's not using this account anymore but it can still help me to find her."

That was the time I saw her face. She was Tammy Villamor, Dr. Rain's cousin and the one we're looking for a longtime. I got shocked. She place her hand in front of me for hand shakes but I can't move my hands. She was smiling happily and looks really happy so I don't know what will be my reaction for that. We're just like worried for nothing.

I hold her hand and just simply smiled at her pretending that I really don't know her.

"It was nice to meet you" I awkwardly said.

"Then... You're here, it's my treat so choose what you want to eat" Ellie said. I choose the not-so-expensive food because I still want to be considerate on Ellie. I know she was also saving money.

"So, how's you're life Tammy?" I asked. It just like there are many things I want to say to her but I can't say it because I don't have the rights to ask her the things that can find the answers on the real problem.

Right now, all I was thinking about is Mr. Dylan and I'm trying to understand and making conclusions on how come she's living like a normal woman who doesn't seem to have any problems while, we struggles everyday to find her.

"I'm always okay and happy living my life. I am actually getting married to my boyfriend in Europe after 2 weeks." she said. Something's got me interested. Who's boyfriend she was talking about?

"Congratulations... It will be more fun if we will meet you're boyfriend before you will go to the Europe. Right, Ellie?"

"Uhm... Yeah! I think that is really a great idea" she said.

"Okay... I'm actually feeling comfortable talking to the both of you. You look really great in person. " Tammy said while eating her pasta gracefully. I am now breathing heavily and I can't think of anything. I know Ellie already noticed that something was going on and I was grateful that Ellie found her before she moves to Europe.

While we are eating, she told many stories about her boyfriend to us and the way she tells her story I can't find any trace of Mr. Dylan there. It was very different on how Mr. Dylan always told me about Tammy.

Now I'm having dilemma whether I will believe myself that she was the one we are looking for or she's just lying or maybe she was really telling the truth. It is not time for me to think and find answers. Mr. Dylan need to see this girl as soon as possible. I suddenly feel vibration on my phone to my pocket and I saw Ellie's text. I looked at her and read her text.

I know something was up. You look angry right now. There is also something I need to do with this girl and I think your actions right now answers my questions.

I nod at her and she nods back at me. I don't what has Ellie something to do with this but I really thought she knows something. And, I'm really hoping that will be helpful for me.
