When the Fate Changes

Chapter 2

DYLAN

We all head back in the event place but I still can't forget what happen to me and Tammy's cousin. I look at him again and I feel that he also feel anxious about what happen.

I let Tammy guide her cousin to her mother and father and I go beside Brian while drinking his beer. I get one glass and pour some beer from his bottle.

"You really don't know how to ask for permission" Brian sarcastically said.

"Why do I need permission from you?" I also sarcastically asked. We both laughed and cheers our glass.

"I am happy for you, man. I really am" he said and pats my back.

"Thank you, man. You're the best friend I ever had"

"Good luck, next week will be the happiest day of your life and I know that will be your unforgettable moment"

"I never heard you talking emotionally to me. This is my first time and I feel so weird about it. "

"This will also be the last" we both laugh again. I see Tammy and Rain walking to our table, I think because it is already 5 minutes before the event will start.

"Do you still feel nervous?” I asked Tammy. She smiled at me and shakes her head. We all wait until 5 minutes. The music suddenly stops and the light turns bright and steady. Finally, Tammy's parents going up to the stage slowly.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to the engagement party of my very beautiful daughter Tammy and her handsome and competitive soon to be my son-in-law Dylan Fliessbach." Mr. Villamor giving a warm welcome so all the guests claps their hands including me and Tammy beside me.

"Today is a very special day for us and especially to my daughter. She is really a caring, kind and loving person that is why I think Dylan really don't want to let go of her. In 8 years they stay strong and trust each other so I'm pretty sure that it will not be so hard for them to adjust in married life. I congratulate you both. Let's cheers for this moment and for having a very wonderful soon to be couple Tammy and Dylan" we all toast our glass and drink our wines and champagnes.

I put my glass in the table and go to the stage with Tammy, holding hands. The introduction and speeches of the guests continues. The place fills with laughter and cry while listening to the speeches from our family and friends. I have realized so many things while listening to the speeches of the people around us. I feel so comfortable and warm inside. I really have so many friends and there are many people who support us.

I look at Tammy, sitting beside me while listening to the speech. I feel like she's really not her today. She's just giving fake smiles to the guests and I still hear her sighs for more than three times in a minute. I know she is hiding something from me but she just can't say it.

I waited until the speeches stops and we both go back to the table where Brian and Rain is sitting.

"I think you're really not okay" I said to Tammy.

"Don't worry about me, I just feel uncomfortable on the stage... Excuse me, I'm just going to the bathroom" I just nod to her and let her leave.

"I'm actually waiting for you to finish." Brian said and pour Rain and my glass a wine but he doesn't pour his.

"Both of you are special to Tammy's heart right and we also became close because of you, man. Don't forget this night." I just smile at Brian. Me and Rain toast our glass and drink it. Brian continuously pours our glass of wine and he just drinking his beer.

It was almost 30 minutes passed but Tammy is still not going back. I see Brian already wasted because of the beer he drinks and his head is already on the table, resting.

"I need to find Tammy" I said to Rain.

"I'll help you" I just nod at him and we both go to the women's restroom. We asked if they see Tammy inside but they are all shaking their heads. We both thought of going outside the event and look for her there while, calling her phone. It is ringing but she's still not answering.

Four men suddenly grabbed our hands and punch our stomach. I can't fight them back because their holding my hands too tight and their too big. They forced me and Rain to go inside the van

I can't clearly see the faces of the 5 men inside the van because of the black masks they are wearing. I heard a ring of cell phone inside the van and the driver answered it.

"Yes boss, don't worry they are already with us" he has a big voice but I think this is the first time I hear his voice.

"Okay boss, Bye" I look at Rain beside me and I see him looking wasted and dizzy. I also feel dizziness but I am still fighting myself to stay up. After a second he just collapsed beside me.

"Sir someone collapsed" the other men said.

"It's okay we're almost there" I look outside the van and see an unfamiliar place. It is really dark so I can't see it clearly but I know the place is filled of grasses everywhere. We stopped and the men carry us out and let us in a big tree untied. I don't know why but I don't think they have intentions to kill us.

"We better go" the man said. I tried to stand up to catch them but my head really hurts. I try to wake Rain but he can't seem to wake up. I don't know why I feel weak and my head really hurts. I slowly feel myself lying down to the ground. I hear the engine of the van starting and echoing inside my head before I close my eyes.

I still need to wake up and find Tammy. I need to save myself.
