Alex pov

watching my daughter use her powers so easily made me proud.

I had never learnt half the things she did at my age. it almost took me 8years to pull powers but watching her do it like it was second nature was astounding.

The power fight that's going on here in our world is almost settled and everyone knows of my daughter now some are very excited to meet her and some I know want to kill her.

once the agreement with the dark lord his son and the other realms is done I will bring my daughter home where she belongs.

Because of time and space 7days on earth is 1 full year here in mine so 14 hours there is 1 month here.so going to see my daughter is very challenging for me but I'd do it anyway even if I do get caught no one wants to challenge me being the God of magic.

"sir jasmine is asking for you,and Julie is still nowhere to be found sir.should I send out nunu to retrieve her?" Catherine breaks me from my vision of Aroha.

"um no its fine I'll retrieve Julie tell jasmine I don't have time for her today I'm busy with family things"

she bows and leaves I link James "boy my daughter is now your responsibility and punishments will be delt to by me.keep her safe"

I stand and feel for Julie she's my younger daughter only 7 and adopted I found her while looking for criminals of my world.

She was left alone in the snow after her village was destroyed she was only 2 years old and looked so much like my Alice.

I find her sitting at the portal entrance drawing on her rock listening to music.

"ohh hey dad whats up"

I smile knowing she was safe and never went beyond our lands like I asked.

"what's going on little one who you waiting for?"

"Nessa said sister was coming soon so I'm waiting,she said you will let me go out if sister was with me so I'm waiting for her to take me out" she continues drawing n humming.

"she will be here later little one don't you want to set up her living quarters and make her feel welcome?she will be hungry and tired when she gets here it is a long way to travel.maybe she would love some of your famous cupcakes"

she looks at me wide eyes.

"omg dad I totally didn't think about that we need to get back home we have alot of baking to do"

she grabs her bag stuffs everything inside and pulls me in the direction of the house.

"come on dad what are you doing we need to hurry before she comes,you didn't even ready sisters living quarters.where would you be without me?"

I laugh at her and pat her head.

"let's go little one prepare for war"

she jumps and sprints to the house with me hot on her tail just as we get to the door I put up a force field and she bounces back but lands on her feet she smiles at me and sprints around the house to the kitchen.

As I open the front door jasmine is there in my way.

"wooh where's there fire?we're have you been?your P.A said you were busy..but I see your not so let's go have something to eat?"

I breath out deep but just as I'm ready to say something someone buts in and I smile.

"sorry jasmine but dad and I have a daddy daughter date we are getting ready for Alice to return so your not needed here anymore"

I watch as jasmines faces goes red and power is seeping off her slowly I raise n eyebrow as jasmine turns to face me.

"ohh wow that was fast I didn't know she was coming back so soon..is there anything I can help with?" she trys to touch my shoulder as I step to the side.

"no thanks we have it covered.you can let yourself out.bye"

Julie then grabs my arm and pulls me to the kitchen and funny that my feet are as light as a feather.

"thanks little one I don't really enjoy her company" I say following her and sitting at the counter.

"I know dad.sometimes I wish Alice would just show up and sho her away she's not very nice"

Julie gets straight into her baking Making lots of cupcakes biscuits and tarts she even made a caramel slice and a big chocolate cake with chocolate icing.

after all her baking she fall asleep on the couch in the kitchen calling for Alice to hurry up while she slept.

After putting her to bed I return to my office to finish some last minute work and check up on Alice..

Alice pov

I stand back and watch as Lisa realizes she has nothing now no power I took that no friends I killed them and no family now thanks to her actions.

"tell me Lisa how does it feel to be a new person now with absolutely nothing..?"

I smile at her and watch as she doesn't know what to do she never knew I could take her power and make her feel this lonely.

"I hope you enjoy the rest of your life and you should count yourself lucky I even let you live..I Aroha Selena Black next godess of magic banish you from my family and from magic..if you do somehow gain magic you will be put to death and I will carry out that justice as I see fit.."

I stand and walk closer to her I raise my hand and pull up a portal "leave now or I will kill you"

I point to the portal she doesn't know where I'm sending her and she doesn't deserve to know.

After a couple moments she stands as she crys and slowly walks to the portal and through it.i quickly close it and sit on my rock and close my eyes.

"this is what is best Aroha Astor it was banishment or death..she is still our grandmother so the sentence was very light no one and I mean no one crosses us or our family"

Aro is crying but she understands I let Lisa off lightly Astro is cooing aro as she crys and sobs rolled up into a ball.

She doesn't fight me for control and just lays there next to astro.

I feel James has his hand on my shoulder trying to soth me.

"let's go Alice we are done here.." I know he's trying to comfort me so I stand slowly and allow him to hug me as I stand there with tears at the brem about to fall.

"I'm fine James..I will be up front until aro is ready to face the world again so next time please reframe yourself from touching me until then"

I stand back I need to keep on my toes any one and everyone could hurt us even family.

"I'm sorry Alice please forgive me" James bows on his knee and looks scared.

"I don't mean to scare you James I know you would lay your life on the line if it came to it.but right now after what we have just gone through aro is finding it very hard right now and I have to act as the shelid right now.just give her time she will heal"

he stands and nods I burn everything to the ground just as aro asked and grow a new forest in its place.

James pov

I watch as Alice burns it all to the ground and replacing it with beautiful green forest.she pops up a portal and we head home.

As Amera Alice and I get back to her father's office I see everyone shifting in their seats uncomfortable as Alice steps through the portal.I see as drax trys to run to her and I step in his way shaking my head.

"becareful drax it's not aro she has given Alice full controll" I tried to warn him

"I know it's Alice James move"

and he pushes past me and grabs Alice hugging her and kissing her.

she does nothing and stands there I watch closely as she just takes the kiss and hug then proceeds to walk to the table and sits down.

she's drenched in blood with her mask still up and her hood.

"please sit I have much to say"

just as she says this Darius walks into the office with the old man.

"Aroha has given me full controll until she is ready to face the world again.so until that time arrives I will be leaving just me James and Drax.Amera you will stay with Yun and report to James everyday.we will leave after the ball so I know everything is ok.Darius you will take over as Alpha and take dad's place next year and I will be back for that"

there is a long silence before she speaks again

"I've sent her across the world to Australia she will be fine" she then stands and walks out with drax hot on her tail.

I sit and watch as everyone starts to claim down from the power Alice is letting off.

"the ball is in 2days Alpha if you could give me instructions on what you would like the ball room to look like and what foods you would like to be served I'd be more then happy to do them" I say as the Alpha smiles sadly at me

"that's fine James invites have been sent and will get you the layout in the morning I think its time for us all to get some rest"

we all bow to him and leave.

I catch up with amera in the hall way with Yun "hey sis a quick word" she stops and smiles at me "what's up?" she's stops Yun and I'm finding it hard to get the words out my mouth.

"are you ok with me going alone?will you be ok while I'm gone?" she's smiles and nods "I'll be fine brother I know you are coming back for me and you know exactly where I'll be from now on..we are linked remember?"

I smile and hug her "she will be fine james I promise I will protect her with my life..or we'll my afterlife lol" Yun is in my head linking me I frown at him.

"how?" I ask him he smiles at me "Aro"

I nod and smile at him "ok sis goodnight I'll see you in the morning we have a big day planning"

I kiss the top of her head and walk back to my room.

To my surprise drax is sitting outside my door looking really confused

"hey drax you good?"

"no man Alice kicked me out the room..I'm not sure what to do?please help me"

he looks down and out poor drax knows aro well but knowing Alice is a different story altogether.

"come in bro we need to talk"

pushing my door open and letting him in he sits on the couch in my room running his hands through his hair.

"first of all drax don't take anything to heart about what Alice is doing because she's doing it all for Aroha not herself..Alice is very old school manners wise..yes Aro has slept with you and let you in bit now is the chance to get to know Alice and Astro too as they are all one and your mate"

I pour drax a stiff drink and hand it to him he happily takes it and downs it in one go.

I huff with a smile "don't be so down bud Alice is just acting as aros shield while aro is trying to cope with what's she had to do..and try put your feet in her shoes and imagine if it was your grandma that raised you only to wanted your power and have you dead"

he sits up like I just turned on a switch in his little dark head and I smile he breaths out deep stands and pours another drink for himself.

"thanks James I never really seen it like that..would it be ok if I stayed here tonight?"

I smile at him "drax you silly wolf you are my king and my masters mate hahaha I'm also here to protect and serve you too"

I stand and pat his back and he smiles "still James thank you for being a friend" I smile and laugh "so now I know you'll have more time on your hands did you wanna start training with me?I'm sure Alice will come around eventually she always does"

the look on his face is determined to make alice see him but I know she sees him she always has. me and Alice have a very weird bond she looks and feels all tough but really she is being realistic about things and doesn't like to waste time she is caring at times and does what she thinks is best for mostly aro and the ones she loves.

she does come off as cold and powerful but that's not her people just need to think and try to be in her place with her history and the realization of who she really is a godess.

These wolf's just see her as an Alphas daughter the witches see her as the godess of magic and others see her as a very timid young girl who is to brainy for her own good and is a bit of an introvert.

"that would be great Jay thanks.i haven't really been training lately it's always been drama but I'm keen when ever you are"

I smile "how about now?we can hit the gym and train til you get tired it should put you to sleep faster" with that he jumps up and throw me my jersey "let's go jay"

I laugh to myself I've got a nickname now and I'm making a friend that's not aro.

Drax pov

Jay's right I need to train I need to focus on being the best me to protect my mate.

As it's almost 11.30pm And we just finished doing some laps of the pack grounds and sets on the bags in the pack gym James pulls out Mats and lays them on the ground.

"where gonna do some grappling some holds breaks and subs" James stands ready for me as I move into the circle within seconds I have james in a armbar tapping out.

"again" he says and this time I put him in a head lock till he taps "again!" this time I put him in a leg lock till he taps I let go and he huffs at me "so much for I haven't trained in awhile..?" I laugh at him "i haven't trained in almost 2months hahahaha don't be so up set"

we head Over to the weights and start lifting sets.

As I look over to the clock on the wall it's reading 2.35am and we've been here for a couple hours.

as we make our way back to the packhouse Blaze wanted out and suddenly took over he transformed and made his way to mine and aros date spot and just as we get to the top I see astro laying in the grass she lefts her head to see me walking up slowly to her and lay next to her.

Blaze and Astro cuddle for abit as the sun starts to come up over the lake.

Astro then licks our face and takes off.

"Blaze you good?"

"I'm good human thank you for letting me go off to see my mate I know it's hard for you but they will come round Alice and aro have been arguing about you and both where sent to time out by astro she is the peace maker of the 3 so don't worry human"

"thanks Blaze your the best wolf a human could ever have"

"eww ok please don't do that in front of the girls hahaha remember human they are our queen we follow them no matter where it be"

I get back to the packhouse and I knock on Alice's door then walk in I go to the walk in and grab some clothes I decide I'll show in James room I'll give Alice more space I might even see if I can get another room for me just incase she not ready.As I'm making my way out the room I bump into Alice who has no expression on her face.

"sorry Alice I just came to get some clothes I'll be out of your way" I step aside and walk away to James room I quickly shut the door and run to the bathroom and jumping under the water.

It was so hard not to touch her grab her or even look at her I just wanted to hug her touch her kiss her feels those sparks again but I have to wait again and it hurts alot but I'll wait for Eva If I have to just to have my mate.

I let the water wash away my sadness and weakness I'm going to train every day two times a day I need to be strong for my queen I need to take the step of becoming her king the king she needs and the king I know I can be.

Today we will prepare for the midnight fall ball from my understanding it's a ball that is thrown for the Alphas Lunas betas and deltas of each pack around the world it only happens every 5years my dad always tried to get me to go last time but it wasn't for me I knew he just wanted me to find my mate but now it's my first time attending and I've found my mate and she's the daughter of my dad's best friend and the godess of magic.

I'm not sure if this is going to be a good thing or a bad thing but either way I stand next to my queen.

"son where are you?"

"heading to breakfast mum what's up?"

I run to the garden and mums there waiting she looks like she seen a ghost and is holding back tears.

"mum what's wrong?" as if he senced her Yun was there in a flash "mum are you ok?" he asks hugging her.

"my sons I'll be ok I had a seeing this morning something bad will happen at the midnight ball.i seen blood everywhere and you two and your mates they were all.." she starts to break down.

Yun takes her inside and makes her a cup of tea I take off to the eating hall to find James.

as I open the doors I'm hit with my mates sent driving me crazy but I have to hold back more now then ever.

I walk to James and tap him on the shoulder "can we talk?" I ask him and he nods as I see him link Alice she doesn't make any eye contact or sound and continues eating.i smile at her eating and walk away with James.

"what's up drax?"

"as you know my mother is a seeker.well she's saying something bad will happen at the midnight fall ball and it doesn't look to pretty"

I try to whisper to him and get the shock of my life when I feel Alice right behind me "where is she?" Alice claimly asks.

"with Yun" I reply making no sudden moves to look at her as I'm scared ill try to touch her.

"show me" she says tapping my shoulder and I feel the sparks where she touched me.

I walk to the kitchen where Yun and my mother are.Alice then sits opposite my mum and holds out her hand for my mother to take.

after about 8 minutes Alice is huffing trying to claim her emotions.

"Alice remember it's a seeing and it hasn't happened yet please claim down" James is looking very worried looking at Alice as she's sits back and fold her arms and closes her eyes.

"I know James please give us a minute"

James Yun and my mother stand to leave the room and I stand to follow but I feel the sparks in my hand I look down to see Alice has my hand.

"please wait mate"

I watch as everyone walks out I take my mother previous seat and breath out deep.

"I'm sorry if it feels like I'm pushing you away drax.i am not trying to do that.im just trying to protect Aro from what I now know is coming.would it be ok if you.."

she stops closes her eyes frowns then continues.

"would it be ok if you stayed with me a little longer it is claiming me down alot and I feel like I'm going to explode"

I quickly stand and pull her up to me hugging her and holding her after a little bit she hugs me back and I feel her completely relax.

"I know you need time my queen and I'll always be here for you no matter what just know that I love you and I won't go anywhere until you tell me to" I breath in her sent as it relaxes me too.

"are you certain about the report jessie"

"yes sir I am.she is the daughter of Alpha James from the midnight pack and the mate to Drax Alpha of the sun pack in Asia"

I look at the papers in front of me it's like she just popped up from out of nowhere and becomes the daughter of a strong Alpha and is mated to an even stronger Alpha.

I remember seeing Alpha Drax fight last year against my beta he was strong and kept no emotion on his face like a robot.

"send back a email saying I will attend with my son jessie let's hope that Mathew is enough to bet this Alpha"

"I'm sorry Alpha chase but it looks like Alpha Drax has been forbidden to fight.im unsure why but there is someone els in his place"

that's very odd..what's going on here..only two people can forbid an Alpha from fighting.the the Luna and the Alpha of the midnight pack.

"when did midnight pack lose there Luna jessie?"

"it has been almost 2months now sir.reports say that 2days after Luna cassys death and her daughter Lisa the young women appeared with the witch Lisa from the kingdom coven who is also Luna cassys mother.but now we have no contact with that coven and Lisa is nowhere to be found.its like they have vanished"

As she leaves I trying to think of why they would pull Drax from the fights.

The midnight fall ball is a two day event 1st day is introductions getting to know each other second day is championship fights nothing to the death just good old fashioned hand to hand combat.

I was looking forward to watching him fight again but it's fine really he was the only competitor I wanted to see but this new name Alpha Darius who has taken his place that wouldn't be James and cassys boy would it??

I pick up the phone and call the midnight pack after a couple of rings someone answers

"hello this is amera you have called the midnight pack how can I help you?"

wow I think to myself James has upgraded

"ohh yes I was trying to get a hold of Alpha James is he around?"

after a few seconds of nothing some answers

"hello Alpha James speaking how can I help?"

"ohhh James buddy it's me chase how you been keeping?so sorry to hear about your beautiful wife and daughter bud I've just come back from the uk when I herd the news.just calling to inform you me and Matthew will be there for the midnight fall ball."

"ohh chase you mad ball how you been?everything is going smoothly now my baby's back bud I'm happy.ill have your old rooms set up bud when you flying in?"

"your baby?how many kids you got hiding away from uncle chase bud..I remember Lisa and your boy Darius I see he will be fighting in Alpha Draxs place?is Drax OK?"

we both laugh and it feels good "well we leave tomorrow morning bud we'll be there tomorrow night if that's not to soon?"

"yes we leave tomorrow morning son pack for a couple days I have a feeling we will staying longer then normal, I want you to get close to Darius something feels off about this daughter of his.he has he taking the patrol team well he said she was the patrol team?"

"father you make no sence at all and I'm already friends with drax he's cool I'd like to fight him one day because man he's strong" I look at my son sideways he just rolls his eyes at me.

"we both went to Alpha camp remember where you sent me to train..to be an Alpha?" he puts his hands out like I should know this I just start laughing "yes yes yes I remember son"

"yeah and I've only got one year left and I'm Alpha remember" he looks at me and rolls his eyes.

As we are boarding the plane it seems very busy for the morning Toby my beta is flicking throw his phone checking emails and messages as Matthew and Joe have gone to get coffee.

As the boys come back with coffee girls are falling over themselves looking at Matthew but because my boy is so well reserved and well mannered it's hard to think he is my son I was a lady's man back in my day and loved the lady's.Matthew on the other hand trys to stay away from them and just wants to fight and make money.something I'm not mad about but I would like grandchildren soon and him being my only son I have no other option.

on the plan it was nice and relaxing my Luna Susan my beta Toby my son Matthew and his best mate Joe had no problems at all on this travel as we landed and got our bags I see a man holding a sign with my nickname on It and I'm laughing my head off as the guy looks embarrassed to be holding a sign saying "numb nuts" on it.my son shakes his head and walks to the man holding the sign "that's numb nuts over there laughing and I'm Matthew" he says as the man helps load the suvs there's 3 of them and we pile in.

Driving up to the front gates if the midnight packlands and I notice a little gold shimmer over the lands you can just see it if you look hard enough.

"what is that?" I ask to no one and a little to loud

"that would be the barriers that protect us now Alpha Chase gifts from the godess" and with that the gates open to show us a tall handsome man not human and not wolf the driver nods to him and he nods back waving them in.

As the car drives in I fell a little twitch I shake it away likes its nothing and sit back till we stop.

Alpha James pov

finally my best mate was coming and I was a little excited to see him it's been awhile.

Having some familiar faces around will help with my mood and I was happy to be holding a fall ball again but getting my daughter to open up to me had been hard Aro came out lastnight and we were all so happy but sometimes Alice takes back controll when she knows Aro has had enough.

As I'm knocking on aros door I do hope she will come say hello to our guest.

it opens and I see drax he smiles and let's me in

"just dropping by to say I've got friends flying in and they should be here any minute would you like to come down and say hello?" drax looks like he wants to come down and I look over at aro..

"baby you don't have to if you don't want to I understand" I watch as she looks over to me and sadly smiles at me "sure dad ill be down soon" I smile knowing I won "well go for ice cream after if you want?" she then smiles her bright smile and hugs me "thanks daddy your the best" I hug her back "I love you to my baby".

I make my way down to the front door of the packhouse and wait for my buddy.
