The moment Queen Eleara left the throne room, Lucien's hand tightened around mine.
"Walk with me. Now."
He didn't wait for my response. He pulled me through a side door, down a narrow corridor, and into a small study that I hadn't noticed.
The moment the door shut behind us, he released my hand like it burned him.
"A mates blessing," he muttered, pacing around the room. "Of course she'd pull something like this."
