Miracle lifted its head and gave Jackson a disdainful look, using its paw to push the meat aside, then let out a few whimpers at Jackson, rubbing its head against Jackson's leg.
"Oh, so you're afraid I'll abandon you." Jackson finally realized what Miracle was worried about and reached out to pat Miracle's head.
Miracle whimpered a few times and snuggled its whole body against Jackson, as if responding to Jackson's words.
"Don't worry, we're not going anywhere anytime soon, and even if we do, we'll take you with us." Jackson looked seriously at Miracle by his feet, his eyes full of reluctance.
After spending so much time together, Jackson had long considered Miracle a part of the family, and even if they left this wretched place, he would never leave Miracle behind.
