Silvester stared at the doctor precipitously to announce Abigail’s health report while others in the room stayed muffled up. The doctor examined Abigail’s reports carefully while the nurse directed him. Besides them, Jaden was standing there too.
“After spending a week and a half in the hospital to regain her health, Abigail is allowed to rest at home. You may take her now,” advised the doctor.
“Home? I don’t have a home” said Abigail while clenching the bed sheet and lowering her gaze. She clutched the pillow in her hand and squeezed it. “I don’t want to go to the manor. He will torment me further.”
The doctor glared at her dubiously and enquired, “What is she trying to imply, Mr Silvester?”
