After I left Val's place, I felt relieved and better. I was also happy I had listened to Smith. I walked down the narrow path, leading to my place. I began to hear footsteps and knew someone was following me but couldn't say who it is. The scent soon became closer and I knew immediately it was Jade.
"Why is she following me without wanting me to see her?" I thought.
I kept walking, pretending not to have noticed her. And instead of heading to my place, I went straight into the woods.
"How long will you keep walking?" I heard her say and I stopped walking.
I turned to face her. "Jade?" I cooed, pretending to be surprised to see her. "How long have you been following me around?"
She shrugged and folded her hands. "What are you doing here?"
