Tesla’s POV
“Tesla?” I heard Eldwin’s voice bring my senses back. I sat up and felt his strong but gentle hand behind my head as he planted a kiss on my lips. Electricity felt like it went down my body to the tips of my toes. My core clenching in need as I grasped his checks in my palms.
“Gross!” I heard L.J.’s voice chime in as he walked into the room. I didn’t care though as Alex, Thomas, Cassie, Armond, and Kosovo followed suit. Eldwin’s eyes met mine as he pulled back. He placed his forehead against mine.
“How do you feel?” He spoke softly to just me. I smiled softly at him.
“Better. Thanks to you,” I said as I wrapped my arm around his firm torso. I felt his muscle release their tension at my words and it brought me joy.
“I’ll go let the doctor know that she’s awake,” Cassie said as I felt her warmth leave my side. I looked over at her. “Don’t worry, sweets. I’ll be right back.” Her voice was chipper as usual. Her small skinny frame bounced over to the door. Her tan skin seemed darker against her dark red curls. She’s slightly shorter than me, but she had an attitude that I admired. Eldwin was already taking me into his arms and surrounding me in his delicious scent that it was about to send me over the edge, but that’s when I realised that there were several other people in the room. Other than him and LJ., there was his pack members, and Kosovo. I smiled over at Kosovo.
“Hey there! Sorry I haven’t had the chance to say hi to you, bear boy,” I teased.
“Hey there, yourself. Also don’t apologize. I’ve been having to discuss things over with my dad, plus the hospital said no visitors other than family,” Kosovo said as he approached my other side. Eldwin tightened his hug on me possessively. I ignored Eldwin as I temporarily brought Kosovo into a hug. As Kosovo lifted himself back up, I felt Eldwin wrap his arms around me again. I could tell that he felt hurt that I disregarded his discomfort, but Kosovo is my friend and Eldwin is just going to have to get over it.
I couldn’t help but look at Eldwin, who was now burying his face against my neck and sending wave after wave of sparks that were very hard to ignore. The doctor came in and checked my vitals as everyone else mingled about. Having hushed small talk. While everyone had been packing my stuff to move to Eldwin’s pack home, myself and him decided to talk and get to know each other more. I found out that he loved the smell of the forest after a good rain storm. He loved running through the woods and feeling that freedom. He loved horror and comedy movies. Loved all forms of music genres, but his favorite were instrumentals. It was crazy with how much we had in common. I couldn’t help but beam at him with nothing but joy. I was falling more and more in love with this man.
He was perfect in every way. How could I not? His lips were plump and asking to be kissed. His eyes glistened with a hint of lust, that I desperately fought to control in myself. His shirt did very little to hide those toned muscles beneath it. Don’t even get me started on what was below the waist and what was going through my mind about what those hips could do. Throughout the absence of our, now, mutual friends, Eldwin would zone out to speak through the Pack link. He wouldn’t tell me what was going on but he looked more than upset. I was glad to see him look a bit happier now that everyone had returned. He told me he would talk to me about it later and that I needed rest. As badly as I would like to know what was going on, I knew that he was right.
“Everything is ready to go once we get ya out of here, Silva,” Alex spoke, but his voice seemed distant to my ears. There was only one thing running through my mind right now that piqued my curiosity more than the silent pack link Eldwin had earlier. So I only nodded as I kept my attention on Eldwin and his body. As the voices of my future pack members and my friends started to fade to soft muffled tones, I couldn’t help but look at Eldwin’s neck. The spot where I will lay my claim on him. Letting the world know that he is my mate. I could feel the ache in my depths, wanting to be stretched and pleasured by this man. Logically, he has shown me nothing but kindness so far. There was nothing but love and admiration in his eyes when he looked at me. I couldn’t help but indulge myself and return the same emotions that I had felt building up inside my chest.
“You’re killing me, you know that right?” He spoke teasingly, breaking through my thoughts.
“W-what?” I asked worriedly.
“Your scent. I know roughly what you are thinking,” He said as he pulled my chin up. Forcing my face to meet his. “I know you want to see more. Perhaps even receive more than what your eyes are telling your imagination.” I felt my cheeks heat up. He could smell my need, huh? Well, this might get interesting.
“Do you now?” I teased as my nails trailed up his arm. I felt him shiver beneath my touch.
“Yes. Whenever you are ready, I am going to have you screaming my name right as I mark you as mine,” he almost growled possessively. I grinned as the thought made my inner walls clench with desire.
“Oh? Maybe, I’ll be the one making you scream my name,” I growled back playfully. That’s when I could smell his scent of need. It made my depths throb as my arousal rose.
“Then, we should hurry home, shouldn’t we.”

After paperwork was filled out and I was released, I found out that not only was L.J. coming with us back to the Misty Mountain Pack territory, but Cassie and Kosovo were also coming. Apparently there was a pact made to protect me, which I very quickly objected to. It was ridiculous. Why were so many people willing to throw down, not just their own lives, but the lives of their own people just for me? Just because of a mark on my chest? I pushed those thoughts from my mind for now. All I cared about was the long drive back to Eldwin’s home. Alex was driving first, with Cassie in the passenger seat. Eldwin sat in the middle seat. Armond, Thomas, Kosovo, and L.J. took Kosovo’s Jeep. Both vehicles managed to hold what little of my stuff I had left, everyone else’s bags, our little group, Skald, and Tally.
Skald and Tally weren’t very happy about riding in a vehicle. They hadn’t really been in a vehicle long enough to enjoy it.
After Eldwin and Cassie explained to me in very little detail about why the majority of my stuff was missing, I felt nervous for the Sunstone Pride. What will happen to them after I am gone? Can they handle that troll? Will those hybrid vampyres do things to them to try to get to me? I tried to push those anxiety inducing thoughts away.
“You’ll love it, Silva! Our territory is one of the largest in the country,” Alex yammered on and on about the beauty of their forests and how snowfall just made it look like a winter wonderland. He was acting like a child but I didn’t mind it. Alex was trying to lighten the mood and make everyone feel better. I was grateful for that. I learned a lot more about the werewolf customs and about the Misty Mountains Pack. Cassie seemed to enjoy herself as well. Listening intently to the words Alex spoke. Her being a history buff, she loved hearing about different cultures and traditions.
“Our pack has been looking forward to meeting you for a long time, my little lily,” Eldwin softly spoke to me. Bringing my attention away from the conversation that was being held between our friends. “I’ve already told them to give you some space when we arrive. My parents and siblings will be there shortly to greet us as well.” My heart dropped to my stomach as my nerves began to set in once again. His parents? As in the Alpha King? Eldwin chuckled.
“Don’t worry, he’s not as grim as he appears to be in ink and on film,” he said as he brought me into his embrace, to which it made me feel immediately safe. It’s like he can read my mind. I didn’t know how I felt about that but as long as I could feel his touch, then I guess I don’t mind.
“I just don’t want them to think that I’m the same as the… other Silverbloods,” I said as I rest my head in the crook of his neck.
“Don’t worry. Not even they can take you from me, even if they wanted to.” He racked his fingers through my hair, causing me to feel drowsy. Who could blame me, after listening to Alex talk for almost four hours.
