It stood arrogantly on the black shuttle, its adorable little eyes, as bright as black amber, darting around and sizing up Flick Shadow, this creature far too large for it to be. Perhaps animals have their own way of communicating; it quickly abandoned its usual cautiousness towards Flick. It half-squatted up, wagging its little tail at Flick, while its thieving little eyes were already fixed on the large white goose holding candy beans in Flick's hand.
What's most astonishing is that this fearless rat is actually wearing a crudely made, but unmistakably human-made, little vest! And judging from the style and the fabric, if the maker's workmanship weren't so poor, it would probably, perhaps, possibly... be a military camouflage uniform?!
