I was sitting at my desk finishing up my lessons for the day when Noah came back from a bike ride. I am sitting there talking to John my student liaisons from Harvard.
John: So, Elle as I said before we have an excellent nursery that can help you with your babies during class time and study sessions. The only time you will need to seek paid help for the little ones is if you plan on doing other activities.
Noah walks into the room and I signal him to be quiet. He sits on the bed and I can tell he has heard John's voice by the growl he makes when he lays back on our bed.
Me: That is great. It would be a great help but John I haven't decided what I am going to do as of yet.
John: Well when you get here we can talk about that at that time. We can sit and have dinner and discuss the future plans you have.
At this point the noises Noah is making are getting a little louder by the second. I turn and look at him and push my finger to my lips and shush him.
Me: That sounds great.
John: Good so it's a date.
At that comment Noah has had it and he comes up behind me and kisses me on the neck. That is when he peers at the screen and says
Noah: "oh, Hey John"
John: Hey Flynn, you ok dude you look mad...wait oh, hell no I know that Ms. Evans is your fiancée we were talking about what is offered to couples here at Harvard for situations like yours.
Me: Sorry, John Noah here is a little on edge after everything that has happened the last few months. I hadn't had a chance to tell him I was talking to a student liaisons there.
Noah: Sorry dude I am little overprotective when it comes to her.
John: That is ok man you two have fun I have to move on to my next appointment.
Me: Not a problem John but I don't know when the Dr will clear me to fly as of right now I am not even allowed long car trips.
John: No problem Elle. Speak to you after the start of the spring semester unless you have questions before hand. Bye
Me: bye
After shutting off John my skype goes off again and before I could answer it Noah does
Noah: Yes can I help you
Brad: Hey Noah is ShellyBellie there I need her
I instantly pull myself into front of the computer screen.
Me: Brad what the hell happened to you.
He has a busted lip and a hand print across his face. I notice Noah clenching his fits and starting to breath in and out. I yell "June come get Noah now please" June comes in "What is it Elle" "just take Noah out I will explain later."
Brad: He is mad I look like this right
Me: Yes, Brad Noah loves you just like I do what is wrong
All of a sudden there is a police officer on the screen.
Officer: Are you Ms. Evans
Me: Yes I am Brads older sister what happened to my baby brother.
Lee: Shells my mom sent me in to check on you
Officer: And who are you young man
Lee: I am Lee. Shelly is staying with my family since her prick of a father threw her out when she told him and his stupid new wife she was pregnant. Since our mom's were best friends before Shelly's mom passed away and my brother is her babies father.
Brad: Babies ShellyBellie
Me: yes two Brad you are going to have a niece and a nephew.
Brad: Cool can I come live with you.
Lee: OH, Hell Yeah little man I have missed you we all have.
Officer: This is all nice and all but we need to speak to a June Flynn.
Lee: Mom get up here
June: What is it you guys why is there a cop on your screen Elle.
Officer: Mam it turns out that Mrs. Lois Evans has been repeatedly physically abusing Brad Evans. We have proof that Max Evans knew what was going on and did nothing to stop it. We were finally able to get out of Mr. Evans that his late wife left papers filled in the LA court house about what was to happen to their children if neither of them could care for them.
June: Yes I know I signed those papers and before you ask My husband and I will be heading straight to DC to pick up Brad.
Officer: Will Ms. Evans be able to come. Brad is desperately wants to see his sister.
June: Oh, Brad darling I am so sorry. The Dr. says Elle can't fly but I promise we will get you home fast.
Me: I promise Bradlybear we will spend some brother sister time just us when you come home. I have missed you so much stinker.
Brad: Me too ShellyBelly I love you so much. I love all of you so much will you give everyone hugs for me.
June: Of course we will Mathew and I will be there later today.
Officer: Thank you mam I will let the local DCS know you are coming. Good bye
All: Goodbye.
I start crying as the call is disconnected. "Why would he let this happen" June looks at me and says OK enough Elle you are going to make yourself sick and upset the babies. Then how are you going to see Brad in the hospital. Noah come here" Noah comes in and picks me up and puts me on my bed and wraps his arms around me from behind he looks over at Lee and says "come here little bro lay down in front of her and let her hug you so we can calm her down maybe between the both of us she won't get too upset." So, that is how June left us. Luckily because of Mathew's job they always have luggage ready. We heard them leave for the airport about 10 minutes after the officer called. I fell asleep with my Flynn boys right next to me. Wrapped in the arms of the man I love and with my arms wrapped around and my head against my best friend/my twin.
