Mr. Dim was a well-known man for diverse reasons . First , his business acumen was unparalleled . He had started as a street drug peddler dealing on behalf of the mafia family . He was so active that he impressed upon the then drug-lord who kept rewarding him with increase in ranks . His predecessor passed on , there was no one better qualified to take over as the boss in this region . Thus began the establishment and expansion of his business empire .
His second strength , or weakness , lay in the fact that he was known to be a very ruthless and merciless man whenever his interests were threatened . It was this uncompromising nature that had kept his competitors at bay . Ironically , it was ths same hard-headedness that cost his son's life .
