“Logan!” My dad called out as soon as I walked into the pack house with Dave. “Uh-oh what did you do now?” He asked mockingly but I ignored him and made my way into my dad’s office and found him sitting there with Alpha Hunter of the Jeorg Moon Pack and his daughter Melinda.

I sighed knowing exactly what this was about. “Well?” My dad asked. I ran my hands through my hair and slowly breathed out “No dad, Melinda is not my mate”

My dad as well as Alpha Hunter’s faces fell while Melinda just grinned, her reaction confused me and I made a note to ask her about it later as they were obviously staying over because they lived eleven hours away.

I bowed my head in respect and walked out of there. My dad must have been really desperate for me to find a mate if he was calling up Alpha Hunter, the guy is bad news.There were rumours going around that he once worked with hunters in order to take over another pack but that apparently didn’t work out and he was still working with them but he has been denying it for years.

I fished my phone out of my pocket and shot Nikki a text

Me: Get your butt back here fast Nicholas my dad has gone crazy

A few minutes later my phone pinged indicating an incoming text.

Nikki: Lol I heard my dad talking to him on the phone earlier about what I like to call OFLAM

Me: OFLAM?

Nikki: Operation Find Logan A Mate

I laughed out loud at that, then shook my head. I whistled as I entered the kitchen and found my mom and a bunch of other ladies in there cooking.

“Hey mom, ladies” I greeted as I opened the fridge and a choruses of hi’s followed my greeting.

I pulled out some OJ and drank straight from the carton causing my mom to wrinkle her nose in disgust, “Use a damn glass Logan” she snapped.

“Sorry” I grinned then winked at her as I left the kitchen but of course she followed me and asked “Why are you in such a good mood, did that Melinda girl turn out to be your mate?”

“Nope” I said making the ‘p’ pop. “Good! So why the good mood?” She pressed. “Nikki’s coming back tomorrow” I said simply.

She smiled and shook her head “Of course” she said then turned around and walked back into the kitchen.

“Nikki huh?” A voice asked from behind me, I turned around and saw Melinda standing there. “Who’s she?”

“A friend” I answered. “Why’d you grin when we turned out not to be mates? I mean look at me, I’m a catch” I said cockily while smirking causing her to roll her eyes.

“I don’t want a mate yet, I want to finish school and live my life first but of course my dad is forcing the whole thing on me” she said bitterly.

I nodded my head in understanding, “Hey you wanna watch a movie?” I asked her after a few seconds of silence.

She shrugged “Why not” and soon we were in the living room watching Fast and Furious seven with the other pack members.
