After I literally ran out of the pack house earlier, I got home and took a long shower then started getting ready for school. My bedroom door opened and in walked my mom. She sat on my bed and patted a spot next to her and I joined her.

"Well, I didn't see that coming" she Breathed out. "How are you Nikki?" she had a concerned look etched on her face. . "I dunno" I answered honestly because I really didn't know.

"Being a wolf isn't so bad you know, in fact I love it. You'll get used to it after a while" she answered after I asked what being a wolf was like.

She continued answering questions about being a werewolf and gave me some motherly advice about werewolf relationships and mating.

"You must be excited that you're Logan mate though right?" she asked and I merely gave her a grin. Our talk was interrupted by the ringing of the doorbell.

"I've got it!" Jake yelled out from somewhere in the house. I went to give mom a hug and then broke apart shortly after and I wiped the few stray tears that fell during our mother-daughter talk.

"Logan's here!" Jake yelled "And Dave!" Dave yelled too, I chuckled then put my hair up in a high pony and applied mascara then kissed my mom on the cheek goodbye.

I walked into the lounge and saw the three guys waiting but my eyes were on Logan and I felt a smile tugging at my lips, he smiled back and the next thing I know, I was running into his arms.

He hugged me and I instantly felt all the angst and mixed emotions I've been feeling since yesterday drift away, he brought about a calmness that I had never felt before.

Jake groaned and said "Break it up kiddies, we're going to be late, damn. "

Logan put me down then held my hand as we went to his car and opened the door for me.

"You know," Dave began as we started driving to school "that high pony kind of makes you look like that Ariana chick or that mean blonde cheerleader in Glee."

"Shut up Dave" I replied. He chuckled then Jake asked while laughing "You watch Glee?" I swear I saw a tinge of pink dusting Dave's cheeks "Jessie is the one that watches it okay" he replied referring to his younger sister.

"You just blushed" I said accusingly while laughing. This then lead to Logan and Jake teasing him the whole twenty minute ride to school.

Logan pulled up into the parking lot and we all filed out of the car and walked towards the school doors.

Logan opened the door for me and I smiled at him then as I was about to start walking to my locker when I felt a pair of eyes on me and I looked up and saw a very familiar looking pair of brown eyes staring at me in utter shock.
