Nicole I stared wide eyed at the guy in front of me as he claimed to be my uncle. It would explain why I felt a sense of familiarity when I saw him but still. "What do you mean, you're her uncle?" Logan growled as his hold on me tightened. I looked around and realised that we were still standing in the hallway and everyone was now staring in our direction, shamelessly watching the drama unfold. My "uncle" noticed too how everyone was watching and said "We can talk about this after school today." He then spun on his heel and walked away but not before staring at me with a pained expression. "You okay?" Logan asked as we were walking to first period after the bell had rang. "I don't know I-" I was cut of by Valerie suddenly standing in front of me with a an angry snarl on her face "So it is true, this pathetic human is your mate!?" I scowled at her and she looked up at Logan. "Come on Logan, you know that she can't be your mate, this is ridiculous, I'm supposed to be Luna not this human b***h that-" "Shut up," Logan commanded in a low voice "Now, you're going to walk away before I do something bad to you for insulting my mate." Valerie glared and then walked away. We walked into English and Macy came barging in a few moments later with Dave hot on her heels "I said I was sorry okay" she just rolled her eyes at him and answered "Go away Dave." His shoulders slumped and he took a seat next to Logan and Macy came and sat next to me. Macy moved here with her parents five years ago when their pack had been attacked by rogues, we've been good friends ever since. "What was that all about?" I asked her amusement evident in my voice. She sighed "Dave's an i***t". "Trust me, we know" Logan said chuckling. "Hey, dude you're supposed to be on my side" Dave chastised Logan, soon all conversation halted as the teacher walked in. I spaced out during the class thinking about all that had transpired. I was just so tired, first my best friend turns out to be my mate, something that shouldn't even be possible, then I find out I have to be turned into a werewolf, now I have an uncle crawling out of the woodworks. I sighed heavily and rested my head on my arms. Logan rubbed my back, "Hey, it's going to be okay" he whispered. I couldn't even muster up a smile for him. The bell rang and we made our way to history which of course was so damn awkward as my "uncle", who I learned was Gabe Lerman taught the class. The rest of the day went by fairly quickly and now Logan and I were heading to his house where Gabe would be meeting is. We picked Logan's house because it would afford us more privacy as his parents would obviously be at the pack house.
