Winter's Choice

Chapter 2

As i entered the room all i could see was two beds with plain sheets and one pillow a big window with a view of the garden's, a wooden desk against the wall with a laptop already sat ontop of it with a neat stack of books on the right and along the shelf above. My luggage was already set in the wardrobe, guess magic made everything easier. Stood near the window was a girl who stood around 6' with long black hair and bright green eyes, with soft full lips, she looked like a freaking super model! Then again all shifter's looked that way with no flaw's visable to the eye, it kept prey at ease and disarmed when hunting, it was also the same for Vampire's except we all had unique eye colour's which depended on power, as it was mine was purple, this signified i was powerful and especially so, as i looked past her at the rest of the room i noticed a bed had been placed along the other wall with a water dish and pet food bowl, i guess they expected me to have a cat or something as a familiar like most vampire's. As i looked back at the girl who was by the window she spoke "Hi, i'm Amy, I am in the room next door i thought i'd come across and introduce myself, I'm a Mountin lion shifter and i'm one of four left in the world, just to put that out there." she muttered. "Hey, I'm Winter Bright, i'm a hybrid and a warrior and i don't let anybody boss me around, thought i'd say in advance incase you see me argue with another vamp or shifter." I said. As she listened to what i was saying she started smiling and laughing "An i thought you looked innocent as a flower! Guess looks are decieving and im glad, I didnt want a barbie doll living next door who only care's about their nail's and hair, you can imagine how boring that is, i can tell we are going to be good friend's already. Anyway, it's food time ready to go? she rushed out. "sure let's head off" i added in mild tone's. Turning back onto the corridor, i noticed people rushing around the block hunting for their own room, pushing past them, we both walked to the stair's and headed down two levels to the main dining hall, walking through the oak double door's we reached for tray's and joined the back of the que for food and drink, as the line progressed i could feel eye's on me as i picked up a fajita and a cola, plus also the food of vampire's i selected O negative, it always tasted better FYI. As i waited for Amy to select her food i glanced around the dinner hall at all the long table's, it seemed cliques had already begun forming within people, shifter's on one table while vampire's sat as far as possible from them, there was a single long table inbetween the groups which was unoccupied, guess nobody wanted to get between fueding faction's, but i didnt care about that long as the dog's stayed away from me and didnt cause trouble they could carry on chasing their own tail's, as for the vampire table, they were staring at me as if to will me to join them and standwith them, i turned away to Amy, "Let's sit at that table" i said pointing at the one in the middle, looking for a reaction i saw the vmpire's stiffen and hiss as i ditched them for a shifter no less, the wolves seemed to laugh enjoying the vampire's faces fall, as i looked closer at the vampire's i now noticed Elena sat at the head of the table like a head honcho, no wonder they expected me to join them!
