The moment I heard the loud horn blare out into the night—
My body teamed up instantly.
The horn blowing meant one thing. DANGER!
When I stepped out into the night, I saw Selene rushing to me, her eyes wide.

“I did.” I answered coldly and continued marching forward . She fell into step beside me…
“Alert all guards on patrol to rally up our warriors.” I stepped further away.
“When you see my signal. Tell them to charge for the gates—“
“Surely you’re not considering stepping out alone.” She cut in sharply.
“I have to. Someone needs to scout out exactly what enemy we’re dealing with.”
