When those words left his lips…the entire room held its breath–it was like time had stood still.
Mate?? Those words rang in my head—
The same word I heard the moment I set my eyes on him.
I saw Cassien’s face change too..he didn’t mean to say that. But he did and there was no taking it back now.
“So you heard it as well? You felt the same energy I did?!” I stepped forward to him, my tone sharp—
He didn’t answer me. He just stood there with that cold mask still there.
“You heard it?!” I asked again, my tone sharper.
He looked away, his expression darkening.
“Answer me!”
“I did!” He snapped out then, facing me fully now.
“For some stupid reason my wolf recognized you and chose you.”
