A deafening silence right after—
Their sharp gazes were all fixed directly on me….
Then—
“Welcome!” “Welcome to the Southern Side!”
“Nice to meet you..”
A wave of warm reception hit me.
Members of the pack stepped forward, surrounding me..kids tugging at my shirt in excitement, others greeting me warmly.
I stood there in shock.
What the hell is happening?!
I turned to Magnus, giving him a look that asks what the actual f**k is happening?
Magnus smiled and dismissed everyone to their various places.
When the area was cleared, he walked to me. “What did I say?”
I stared at him in shock. “Did that just happen?”
His smile widened. “It very much did.”
Then his expression turned a bit serious. “This is your home and it’ll always welcome you.”
