Chapter 7

(Griffin's P.O.V)

Layla and I have been talking for some hours while Alex slept, we did this often.

"Layla we need to get out of here"

"I know and we will"

"How? How are we going to get out of here? Adam has not moved from outside that door"

"So you need to wait for the opening"

"I get that but its only 2 days till bigger shiny comes to get us.... Remember!"

"The opportunity will come up, don't worry and when it does don't be afraid, just let it happen."

Of course I was worried Alex is not a fighter and to get out of here we need to get through about 20 guards, my main concern is Alex I don't want her to get hurt! I don't understand why she said don't be afraid? and to let it just happen? A sudden banging sound caught my attention outside the door, People shouting and metal clanking..... is that...... growling?? after a few minutes I hear Adam.

"Don't you even touch them you will be sorry!!" as I hear a guard say "You are powerless boy" another very loud sound rang in my ears.

The door swung open as about 10 guards rushed in and grabbed me pinning me to the wall and a few grabbed Alex on the bed, then I smell him.... I spun my head to the door......Gregory..... His disgusting pig like face looking at me then turns to look at Alex. "You boys can have Alex. but griffin is mine, why should the king get your pureness." His look was evil and sadistic, I suddenly heard clothes being ripped, and Alex. screaming and trying to fight back.

"Now griffin" I heard layla in my head.

What felt like every bone in my body starting to break at the same time, screaming in pain as the guards released me from where they had me on the wall after a few moments I rose towering over Gregory who has quite literally shat himself. I have been waiting for this, a growl escaped from me as I swung my hand and saw I had taken a huge chunk out his face as his head hit the ground blood started pooling around his head, I looked down!!!!! WHAT THE f**k!!!! I...I.....I HAVE CLAWS!!!!! I turn back to where the men were holding Alex. and see they were against the wall in fear, Alex. just looked at me in awe, not afraid at all. I walked to the guards and tore them to shreds for trying to hurt Alex., while I was doing that a couple of them ran out the door trying to close it, in one motion I ran picking Alex. up in my arms and busted through the door with such force I ran into the wall on the other side, sending the last of the guards flying. I see Adam tied up on the floor, now unconscious. I looked down at him then looked around for a way out, suddenly Alex’s voice broke my thought. "There griffin, there are stairs there" I look at where she is pointing and started running. Adam was a good guy so left him alive, I ran up the wooden stairs and landed up in the main house throwing open the door, the kitchen, the light was so bright it blinded me, I put Alex down so I could cover my eyes she immediately grabbed my hand and guided me to a room. she ran and closed the curtains then turned to face me.

"griffin?" Her small voice sounded worried, as it was still somewhat bright even with the curtains closed I blinked till Alex came into focus, I went to ask if she was ok but I just growled which made us both jump. there was a mirror in this room, I ran over and was shocked and scared to see a giant wolf looking back at me.

"Layla!"

"Yes griffin?"

"Wha.....WHAT AM I??"

"We are a wear-wolf" she sounds so calm!!!! How is she so calm!!!

"How are you so calm???"

"I knew what we were from the begging, there is much I need to explain and I will but we need to leave"

With that I felt my bones breaking again crying in pain and dropping to the floor, I felt Alex’s arms around me.

"Griffin its ok I'm here" I tried focusing on her words as another bone cracks, feeling the kind of pain I have never felt. ever.

After what felt like an eternity of pain, I felt the last bone click into place. I was breathing heavy as I looked up at Alex. then back down at my body.

"Alex, I think I need clothes" with that she jumped up and started looking in the cupboards.

"Ahhh this should fit" holding up some jeans and a blue shirt. She also changed her clothes as hers were torn.

"Such a shame those were really nice clothes," She says holding up the very ripped clothes.

"We will get more, but we need to get the hell out of here!" She nodded at me as we exited out of the room she had brought us into.

I see a long corridor with many doors down it, I look towards an archway and see some furniture. Making our way cautiously through Alex. pointed towards the kitchen, "That's where we came out of." I nod "The exit cant be far away then" Taking a quick look around I see a red door with a hat and jacket hanger next to it "That must be the way out." Alex whispers to me our voices are low cause we have no idea who else is around.

Opening the door slowly a devastating amount of sound and smells hit me, and made my head spin I held onto the door as I tried to steady myself.

"Griffin are you ok" Alex. was now holding my arm.

"Yea.... just got really dizzy"

Layla suddenly spoke "Its because you have never smelt or heard any of this before, as a wolf we have amazing senses, almost 50 times stronger than a human"

"Ok that makes sense........I guess"

"You need to concentrate focus on Alex." as I look at Alex. she gives me a wry smile.

Slowly everything started coming into focus, I shook my head. "Lets get out of here." I lean on Alex. as I'm still a little woozy. We walked down the stairs and out the gate onto a street that had all sorts of buildings some were quite big with 15 to 20 stories high. We walked down the side walk after what felt like hours of walking we decided to stop in an ally-way and rest for a bit.
