The Unbreakable

Chapter 5

(Griffins P.O.V)

After Alex begged me, ha more like bugged me into submission, I am trying to teach her how to fight.

"Right Alex now that we have the stance down and you don’t look like you going to fall over" this earned me a scowl from her. 

" Your going to punch my right hand with your left, this is called a jab OK?" with a nod of her head she swan and missed completely and landed on her ass. I laughed and went to help her up. She wined at me while rubbing her butt.

"You did that on purposes! You moved!" She said to me in a high pitched voice.

" I really didn’t move" she gives me a narrow eyed aggressive look.

" I Promise I didn’t move" I am now standing with my hands up in surrender. With a sigh she gets back into her stance ready to try again.

Just then I heard the keys and pulled Alex behind me, 

"but I wanna help." I just gave her a stern look, she new not to push the subject any more. 

Turning my gaze to the door seeing the handle move now, I get into a stance ready for whatever was coming, but then the younger shiny steps through the door. "Good evening ma'am, I have brought some things for you and your sister" before I could say anything 2 guards carrying bedding and a matrices walk through the door and dump it on the floor. One of the guards that I had messed up earlier in the week walked passed me and tried hitting me with his shoulder, but before I could react younger shiny had him against the wall. "How dare you even go near the kings property" his voice had changed into a bear like growl, the guard literally pissed himself. young shiny then through him clean across the room hitting the wall on the other side with a serious thud. I turned my head to look at young shiny and I swear his eyes were glowing a lumo green it was insane, he blinked his eyes a few times and they went back to normal. What the heck was that? why did they do that? I am so dumbfounded right now.

"I am sorry that he touched you ma'am it wont happen again," he said taking me out of my head. in one fluid motion he spun on his heals looking at the other guards, who scurried away at some speed out the door taking the very unconscious, guard with them, well at least I think he is just unconscious. He swiftly followed closing it behind him.

"The f**k just happened" I’m standing there kind of stunned

"That guy just protected us" Alex replied as she walked up next to me just as shocked.

"Well I dibs the new bed," 

Like non of that just happened, as she ran and jumped on it, I just shook my head at her and walked over and sat on it. "Wow" the words escaped my mouth before I stop it, but it was so soft and just wow I have never known anything this soft and the pillows! Ahhh the pillows actually sat under my head without straw poking me this was amazing, before I new it I was asleep.

(Alex P.O.V)

I watched as griffin walked over and sat on the bed, watching the amazing smile that crept across her face with a "wow" she clayed fully down and snuggled the pillow. Within a few minutes she was fast asleep as she was snoring, I haven't seen her relax like this ever. With a sigh of happiness that she is getting some rest I pulled the crisp blanket over her and I heard her sigh.

I wonder if our new home will be nice I know griffin is always worried and she never wants anything to happen to us, but if they giving us such good stuff now what’s to say it wont be even better. I wonder if lee lives there, ever since I met him I cant seem to get him out of my head. He called me little mouse, I found it enduring somehow, its weird to say the least. I don't know what’s happening to me? but I feel like I can trust him.

Standing up to go over to the food I was quite hungry there were so many things to choose from, Steak, chicken, roast veg also including fruit, apples, bananas, strawberries. I haven't had an apple since I was a kid, so I picked it up and took a bite, it was so juicy and sweet it was amazing. As I looked around my eyes emediatlyy landed back on griffin who was smiling, actually smiling in her sleep, I let out a quiet chuckle.

I was also feeling quite tired but I new I shouldn't sleep cause otherwise someone will come and hurt us if I can't warn griffin in time. I sat on the chair watching the door still eating my apple but at some point I must have dozed off. When I woke up I had the blanket over me and griffin eating some beef, she smiled at me. "Morning sleepy head" I emediatly sat up strait " I’m so sorry griffin I didn't mean" she cut me off " its all good Alex, nothing happened and that’s the best sleep I have ever had." I sighed in relife, she wasn’t angry with me good.

"I think young shiny is making sure nothing happens to us" griffin said while grabbing some veg.

"Yea i think your right." She suddenly shouted.

" HAY......YOUNG SHINY." All I hear is a slight sigh, 

"Yes ma'am."

"What is your name," there was a slight pause.

"Adam ma'am."

"Well thank you Adam for what you did earlier."

"Its my job to protect you and your sister ma'am."

"Non the less thank you," there was another silent moment.

"You are welcome ma'am."

Griffin had a good heart and she has a gentle soul just this place has made her hard, she had started fighting back when we were about 13 and she never let anyone touch us. She said Layla her other self told her to fight, I am greatful beyond words for griffin, I don't want to know what would have happened if she wasn't here. I can guess though cause we hear girls screaming and men laughing. As I thought this I cringed at the sounds we hear on a, almost nightly basis.

Griffin turns her head back to me from looking at the door, no doubt she saw the pain in my eyes cause she got up and walked over to me.

"What's wrong?" her voice soft and caring

"Just thinking about all these girls here and how blessed i am to have you to protect me." I didn't stop my tears from falling. "I just feel so sorry for them," covering my eyes with my hands I feel griffins arms around me as she started to hum a song that she always sang to me when I was sad or afraid. The words were beautiful, she says that she thinks her mom use to sing it to her.

Oh little one, it will be alright, dry your eyes as I hold you tight, let the pain come away from your beautiful eyes because I will protect you to the morning light, my little one so small and strong, just close your eyes and dream all night long.

Griffin had a beautiful voice and i was the only one who new that, she always calmed me down and somehow managed to get the tears to stop.

"Feel better?" she looks down at me as she stands up straight, I only managed to nod my head.

"You need sleep go and jump on the bed" she gestures behind her.

"Ok" I stood up and walked over to the new, very soft bed and the darkness took me.
