Led by the receptionist, Faye took the elevator with her suitcase. She watched the elevator lights rise floor by floor, feeling a bit amused.
It seemed that Theodoric's secretary had planned to arrange for her to stay in this hotel, but after all the twists and turns, Theodoric ended up arranging for her to stay here.
Of course, the reason for her stay had nothing to do with the beautiful secretary's initial suggestion.
The receptionist led her to the presidential suite on the top floor. The luxurious furnishings and elegant décor gave Faye the sudden urge to stay here forever.
But that idea passed quickly. Besides the cost, the layout made it nearly impossible to set up any defensive traps, not ideal for a senior agent like her.
