"Faye, you shouldn't have gone out with Eric yesterday."
Faye raised an eyebrow, set down the book in her hand, and countered.
"You shouldn't be saying that to me, Theodoric. I was the one taken out."
Theodoric stared at her with an icy stare and said, "Faye Magdalene, don't try to tell me you're just a helpless woman. Besides, I receive updates on Eric's afternoon activities. If you could save him from a crazed horse, then you could certainly get away from him."
"Yes, I could have, but why should I turn down a free meal and a lavish dinner at a high-end restaurant? It's just that later on, due to the alcohol, some unexpected situations arose."
