Chapter 24
Carolyn read his text again. He seemed much calmer this morning. Was probably sober now at least. Hungover maybe. She wanted to go home. She wanted to fix things with him and for things to be good again. Or at least for them to return to trying to make things good. They were still struggling a bit, but things had been going so well. Would this destroy everything?
On one hand, she had to worry about making sure he was okay. That he would forgive her for keeping such a horrible secret. For not knowing for sure whose baby she was carrying. She had to do everything she could to make him forgive her.
