BLOOM'S POV
A week later
The drunk father
We walked into the house,with cautious steps trying to make less sound as we gently pry the front door open.
“You are late” the familiar icy voice rang out.
Our father sat on the sofa in the main room, a bottle of whiskey held in one hand, his cold and calculating eyes narrowed in our direction.
“Where the f**k were you two” he slurred as he staggered towards us.
Our stomach twisted in fear, we couldn't dare to give answers cause it doesn't matter anyways.
“Do you both realise how long I have been sitting here, waiting for you assholes” his words slurring as he gripped my shoulder.
“Especially you” his firm hold tightened on me making me gasped out in pain.
“Where the f**k were you?”
“Don't think I don't know about your little incompetence outside …..you w***e” he growled at me emphasizing on the w***e,as he slapped.
My head turned from the impact of the slap, my other hand holding tightly to Blake's clenched fist.I stood there bearing the pain as tears slid down my eyes.
These past few days have been so rough for my brother and I.
I don't even know where to begin – just that Hailey and her minions have been on my neck for days now.
She has been in full b***h mode, herself and her minions have it out with me, going all banshee on me yesterday, screaming at me and finding fault in everything I do.
I overheard some Pack members mentioning the Alpha attending an Emergency meeting at the neighbouring Packs.
With the Alpha's absence and Luna busy with the Pack affairs, they thought It was the right moment to deal with me.
And with that people, I am doomed until the Alpha's arrival.
Yesterday was horrible – I had a big bump on my head due to their silly pranks, those spawn of the devil spilled something on the tiled floor making me slip, hitting my head resulting in the biggest headache ever.
And today, outrageous – they changed the sugar-salt stickers resulting in a horrible breakfast this morning. I would have known if I wasn't so pressured by the minions.
A well planned prank which resulted in me receiving 20 strokes, ordered by Luna.
Due to their antics, my body still aches from yesterday's ordeal– with today's own, I am beyond exhausted.
I am way behind schedule with my chores earning me extra hours of work yet to be done.
….
Few hours later
Finally done with my chores, I decided to wait for my brother as he already mindlinked me and hour ago.
I sat at the staircase leading to the hall waiting, my head throbbing so bad – the skin of my shirt rubbing against the marks from the Luna’s cane …. So tired.
“Hi Bloom” Ava , a normal Omega greeted sweetly as she walked towards me.
“This is weird” I thought as I looked at her.
“Did you call me?” I asked dumbly, checking to see if there's any other person besides the two of us.
“ Yes I did…. Your brother said to meet him at the pool side” she informs.
“Pool? why..?” I asked, peering at her suspiciously.
“Do I look like your infomat..maybe he is picking up an extra shift and he wants you to go meet him there” she interrupted, glaring at me.
“No I am just …” I replied stuttering unsure, trying not to cause any trouble.
I have had enough for today,my aching bones can testify to it.
“Anyways…. I don't know but he said to inform you to wait for him”
“Umm… I don't think there's a need to go over there ,I can just wait here…I will mindlink him” I inform, now feeling extremely suspicious.
Ava’s expression flipped instantly, her sweet demeanor changed replaced with an ugly sneer .
“Woah … wait a minute, are you trying to say that I am lying”
“I can't believe, I came to deliver a message to a runt lowlife like you – wasting my precious time, coming here only for you not to believe me” she ranted glaring daggers at me.
“I am so sorry…. I will get going now” I quickly replied carrying my bag running towards the pool area.
I glanced back at her, only to see her just standing there watching me go.
“Did she just smirk?” I asked myself as rounded a corner, stopping.
Something is wrong and she's definitely lying.
I have a feeling that this is part of Hailey tricks, my brother rarely talks to the members – only Jake and his cousin Kira.
“ What to do now”
“If I go, trouble and if I don't also trouble”
“I guess I will still mindlink Blake”
Blake's Pov
“Hey man, I am done here got to go”
“So see you tomorrow” I announced, wheeling myself from beneath the car I have been fixing all evening.
“No problem man, run along now before your father have your head for dinner” Jake joked as he pushes me lightly.
I wiped my hands on a rag that was just as dirty as I was, nodding
“Bye Jake” I replied tiredly
“My regards to your sister”
“Okay” I said walking out of the garage, not bothering to change my soiled clothes due to the engine oil stains.
Today's work was so tedious that I lost track of time, from assisting the builders for the new nursery to running errands half the day, to repairing people's car later in the evening – my father is gonna go bullshit on us tonight.
I was half way to the breakfast hall when..
“Bloom” my thought interrupted at my sister mindlink.
“Blake … Ava told me to meet you at the pool …are you there?” Her frantic voice echoed in my head.
I stopped dead in my track, my heart dropping into my stomach all trace of fatigue disappeared as I ran towards the pool.
“Bloom stop moving right now!...”
“I am nowhere near the pool don't move –already on my way to you …. It's a trap”
“Don't go to meet her, let's just head home we are running late….”
“we will face her another time”

10 minutes later
“Where is she” Hailey queries looking at Ava
“She should have been here “
“It past 10 minutes already” she glared checking her phone.
“I guess she decided not to come” another mentioned.
“That b***h, how dare her” growled Hailey
“I can't believe she stood us up” another inputs
“She is so dead tomorrow” Ava sneered
“Don't worry girls…. I have a plan”
“Yes finally, some action “
“I hate that omega so much”
“Not as much as I do” Hailey sneered, her fists clenched in anger.
