As the full moon rose majestically above Silver Hollow, the evening air was charged with expectancy. Pack members crowded the ceremonial grounds, their looks a mix of exhilaration and discomfort. This was the evening the Blackwood Pack and the Crowe Pack were expected to confirm their alliance—a union guaranteed to bring wealth and authority. But under the surface darkness thrived.

Standing at the brink of the assembly, I gripped hard the proof of Marcus and Selena's betrayal. My heart hammered in my chest as I looked about for Ryan in the throng. Though it was risky, our strategy was our only one shot to reveal the truth and prevent the partnership from ever materializing.
