Azel shrank back, visibly shaking. I walked up to her to snap her out of her daze, failing miserably to hide my smile.
My heart swelled for her, but she was at a loss of words, Andrew also looked shaken.
I understood how she felt, I went through something similar with Klaus. No, I wasn't going to jinx her moment by thinking about my failed bond.
“Azel this is good news” I said elated, breaking the uncomfortable silence. “You should be happy”
But she only shook her head, backing up like she’d been accused of something. Her lips quivered, her knuckles still white around that poor folder she held.
“How convenient,” Raymond muttered, his eyes fixated on Andrew.
“Raymond.” I warned, throwing him a look. I knew he was suspicious of him but this was Azel's moment.
