Kayla's POV
It felt like an arrow straight to the heart.
“What?” I blinked in disbelief, taking a step back as if the sheer weight of his accusation could crush me. “I didn’t do anything.”
“Don’t lie to me, Kayla” he almost threatened.
How could he think that way?
“I would never hurt Lily’s child” I tried convincing him but he shook his head as if to block out my words.
“Where is she?” he questioned flustered.
I wanted him to see me really see I wasn't lying but the look. in his eyes only cared for her, cradling the pieces left of my heart I whispered,
“In her room”
He bolted out the room the moment the words left my lips and the ache in my chest increased.
My legs moved without instructions following Klaus back to Lily. He was by her side holding her when I got there.
