THE NEXT MORNING, I found another message from Alyssa.
Antonio’s crashed his car, and he’s got a broken rib and concussion. Were you involved? What happened? Are you okay?

I showed it to Blake. “Do you think I should reply?”
“Will she tell Antonio?”
“Not unless he makes her somehow. She doesn’t like him either.”
“Then you might as well. She sounds worried. Just don’t tell her where we are in case he does get it out of her. Plus, she might send us some info back, and f**k knows, we could use that.”
“It’s good news about the broken rib, isn’t it?”
“It’s a shame it wasn’t his neck.”
I was in a car with someone else and Antonio crashed as he was chasing us. Is he still in hospital? Do you know what he’s planning to do next?
