Chapter 008
Sisi’s Fury
Sisi’s POV
I couldn’t sit there any longer as I was already losing my mind. Damian had just stormed in and within few seconds, destroyed everything. Everything I ever worked for. My mother, Caroline, and my father, Matthew, as I had planned, were getting ready to disown Amara, and now, Damian storms in, acting like a hero, claiming he was going to marry her.
What then happens to me? What about my plans to make it big? I had to do something real quick, anything at all to make sure Amara didn’t get away with this.
I stormed into the living room still furious, slamming the door behind me. My mother was sitting there, as always, and like nothing had changed, she was fiddling with her phone. She looked up, annoyed at the manner of my entrance but didn’t say anything.
“Mom!” I snapped, interrupting her, throwing my hands up in the air. “Do you realize what just happened in here? How can you sit and let that happen?”
My mother didn’t even as much flinch. “What do you mean exactly, Sisi?” she asked coolly, still not looking up from her phone or whatever she was doing.
“That Damian,” I said, seething terribly as I tried to hold my anger. “He just waltzed in there and without permission, claimed Amara like he owns her. He’s really going to marry her! Marry her! This is not how it was supposed to go, this wasn't our plan.”
Mom finally looked up, her sharp gaze fiercely meeting mine. “Well, what exactly do you suggest we do, Sisi? We were ready to finally disown her, but now Damian is making it really difficult. And truthfully, I’m not interested in a fight with such a person as him. He’s ruthless as described, and you of all people know it.”
“I don’t care about him or what he can do!” I yelled. “I’ve worked really too hard to get everything I ever wanted, and right now Amara is just going to get everything handed to her without fighting?”
“Calm down a bit, Sisi,” Mom said, her voice more like an icy command, than a suggestion. Something that has never happened before. “You need to think this through before acting. If we dare upset Damian, there’s no telling how far he’s ready to go to make us suffer.”
I threw my hands up in frustration. “I can’t sit back like a coward and watch this happen, Mom. I can’t let it happen. I need to fix all of this. I need to destroy her completely.”
Mom sat back in her chair, her face thoughtful for a moment. “You’ve always been a determined and fearless lady, Sisi. Fine. If you think you can fix this, I’m with you.”
I blinked, totally surprised that my mom could say such a thing. “Really?”
“Yes,” she said, without remorse, her voice dripping with resolve. “I didn’t raise you to be a coward and back down from anything. But you have to be clever while doing it.”
I felt a rush of strange adrenaline course through me that moment. “I’m not in this earth going to let her win. This time, it’s my turn.”
Just then, my phone buzzed repeatedly. I glanced down at it as I was looking for what would calm me down and saw a message from Liliana: You heard the trending news about Amara? What’s going on right now?
I typed back quickly: Damian is getting ready to marry her. I need your help immediately. Meet me at my usual place. We have enough work to do.
I didn’t wait for her reply my messages. I needed to talk to anyone and that person is Liliana, and I needed her on my side to pul through, she was always ready to get her hands dirty.
A few hours later, Liliana arrived as my girl that she's. She walked smiling mischievously into the living room, looking as composed and stylish as ever. “What’s the plan girl?” she asked without wasting any time the moment she entered.
I stood up, pacing back and forth, as my mind raced restlessly with possible strategies. “You know how everything was gradually falling apart in a terrible manner for Amara? My mom was ready to disown her, Dad was not helpful anyways, and then Damian came in, like a knight in shining armor, and now, just when she's supposed to be homeless, she’s getting everything she wants.”
Liliana raised an eyebrow in shock. “You can’t let her win this fight.”
“Exactly,” I said, turning to fully face her. “We’re going to make sure she regrets this decision of hers. We’ll expose her, make everyone turn against her when she never anticipated it. Let it seems she’s been lying and hiding her truth, pretending to be the perfect daughter, while she's not. She can't be the perfect fiancee, it should all be a show.”
Liliana smiled, that glint she never fails to display in her eye that always made me feel like we were unstoppable. “I’m in. How do you want it to be done?”
“Very simple,” I said, folding my arms. “We dig deeper than we've been doing. We find a way to ruin her reputation completely. The pregnancy? We’ll twist it to our advantage. We’ll make it look like she was with Damian before Victor, maybe as his bedmate all this while. We’ll throw some doubt on the paternity of the child, making it look like sleeping with both Victor and Damian at the same time. You know how this thing works.”
Liliana nodded, her fingers tapping her phone as she typed furiously, leaving no details out. “I’ll start gathering information right away. People talk, and we’ll use that against her. We’ll make sure Amara’s perfect little life shatters before her eyes.”
I smiled wickedly satisfaction. “Good. We’re going to take her down at all cost. We’ll have everyone questioning her, including herself. Damian won’t be able to save her when we’re done this time.”
“Leave it all to me,” Liliana said. “I’ll find the dirt you need for this assignment.”
The very next day, as we began putting our plan into motion without wasting time. I couldn’t shake the feeling that for once, things were slipping out of my control. But I was no more than determined. I wasn’t going to let a puppet like Amara get the life I should’ve had.
I met with Liliana as planned later in the evening. She was grinning uncontrollably from ear to ear with excitement as she handed me her phone for me to see. “I got something really juicy.” she said. “We can paint a picture that Amara’s been hiding something. If we succeed in leaking this, it’ll shake her up.”
I quickly took the phone, feeling a cold excitement like I just signed a great deal. The pictures and the videos she got were exactly what we needed for our operation. I know it would end up ruining Victor's career, but I cared less about him, he made his bed the moment he chose Amara in my stead.
This was it. This was how we would ruin her.
“Perfect,” I said, smiling at the screen and the details. “This will show everyone that ever doubted who she really is. No more pretending to be perfect. No more perfect Amara ever again.”
Liliana grinned in fulfilment. “We’re going to destroy her completely.”
I wasn’t going to stop until she had nothing left in her name.
The next few days felt like a decade to us. We managed to bribe few people to leak the picture, and soon, whispers filled the air as expected. People started to doubt Amara’s innocence and personality, wondering if she had really been with Damian all along while feeding everyone with lies. Some of Victor’s family even went as far as asking questions as their image was on the ruin, and the pressure began to mount on Amara.
I was getting exactly what I always wanted, Amara was unstable like water which wasn't good for her pregnancy, and everything she had built was beginning to crumble before her.
I doubt if Damian will want her again if she miscarriages. She would soon be back in our house to continue from where she stopped.
And I was loving every moment of our revenge.
But somehow, I feared Damian would step in again to clean her mess, and if that eventually happens, will he figure it out that I'm the one behind everything?
