Zhang Yi stepped out of his home, greeted by a scene of tranquility filled with the joy and comfort of human life. Many parents were playing with their children in the community square, their faces lit up with happiness. But Zhang Yi knew that in just a month, all of this would turn to dust. He walked quickly out of the community, and not far away was a Michelin three-star restaurant. A meal there would cost at least five to six thousand yuan, and in the past, Zhang Yi had always hesitated to dine there. However, now he couldn’t care less. Once inside the restaurant, Zhang Yi chose a table by the window and ordered all the most expensive dishes on the menu, along with a bottle of Lafite wine. This meal cost him fifty thousand yuan. Even the waitstaff looked at Zhang Yi with ambiguous glances, thinking he must be a wealthy second-generation heir. After all, who else could afford such an extravagant meal? Zhang Yi didn’t care what others thought; when the table of exquisite dishes arrived, he began to devour the food eagerly. Perhaps due to the six months spent in the ice apocalypse, eating such delicious food nearly brought him to tears. His eating style became somewhat ferocious, drawing whispers from the other diners around him. Zhang Yi paid them no mind. He knew that when the apocalypse struck, people would even kneel and beg for a single pack of instant noodles. At that point, all civilization and morals would evaporate. As Zhang Yi enjoyed his meal, a woman walking by outside suddenly stopped. She was a stunning figure with flowing hair, exquisite makeup, and wearing Gucci high heels. It was none other than Fang Yuqing, the woman who had betrayed Zhang Yi in his past life. Beside her was her close friend, Li Cai Ning. As they passed the Michelin three-star restaurant, they couldn't help but glance inside. Both of them had long yearned for such a luxurious place. Unfortunately, their finances didn’t allow for such indulgences. But that didn’t stop them from surveying the interior, hoping to spot a rich second-generation heir to hook up with. To Fang Yuqing’s surprise, she spotted Zhang Yi inside, sitting in front of a table laden with top-tier food. “Isn’t that Zhang Yi? How could he afford to eat here?” Fang Yuqing exclaimed. Li Cai Ning, equally astonished, covered her mouth in disbelief. “Zhang Yi? I had no idea he was this wealthy!” As she spoke, she shot an ambiguous glance at Fang Yuqing and laughed, “Yuqing, you’re really lucky! The guy chasing you turns out to be an invisible rich second-generation heir.” “Look at all that food on his table; it must cost at least fifty or sixty thousand. Who else could afford such an expensive meal?” Li Cai Ning’s tone was laced with envy. She knew that Zhang Yi had been pursuing Fang Yuqing for half a year. However, Fang Yuqing had always kept him hanging, neither rejecting nor accepting his advances. Fang Yuqing was a full-fledged gold digger, convinced she could marry a high-quality rich heir and live like a young mistress. Yet she couldn’t bear to give up on Zhang Yi, who had a car and a house in Tianhai City. So, for a long time, Fang Yuqing had treated Zhang Yi as a backup option. But now, seeing Zhang Yi enjoying a lavish meal worth tens of thousands alone, doubts began to creep in. “Could it be that Zhang Yi is actually a hidden rich heir?” Fang Yuqing rested her chin on her hand, deep in thought. Zhang Yi's attitude toward Fang Yuqing was very cold. Fang Yuqing and Li Cai Ning also sensed something was off. However, after mistakenly believing that Zhang Yi was a hidden rich heir, they were not angry at his demeanor; instead, they approached him eagerly. “Hey, Zhang Yi, were you just eating at this restaurant?” Li Cai Ning pretended to be casual. Zhang Yi frowned slightly; this woman was no better than Fang Yuqing—two of a kind. She had a hand in the betrayal and his death back then. “Yeah.” Zhang Yi replied coldly, shoving his hands in his pockets and turning to walk toward the supermarket. Fang Yuqing and Li Cai Ning quickly followed him. “Zhang Yi, where are you going?” Fang Yuqing asked with a gentle smile. “To the supermarket.” Zhang Yi's tone remained indifferent, tinged with impatience. If it weren’t for wanting to let her experience the despair of the apocalypse, he would have killed her right then and there. Fang Yuqing exchanged a glance with Li Cai Ning and quickly added, “What a coincidence! We were just planning to buy some things too. It’s on the way!” At this point, Zhang Yi realized what was happening. They must have seen him dining at the Michelin three-star restaurant and mistakenly believed he was a hidden rich heir. That’s why they suddenly became so enthusiastic toward him. He couldn’t be bothered to engage with them and continued on his way to the supermarket. The more indifferent he was, the more Fang Yuqing and Li Cai Ning thought he must be a rich second-generation heir. After all, who else could afford to act so arrogantly? The two of them followed closely behind him, with Fang Yuqing even inching closer, occasionally reaching out to touch him. When Zhang Yi looked at her, she would shyly turn her head away, her face flushing as if she were very bashful. Zhang Yi smirked inwardly. You little green tea b*tch, you really know how to act. If you went into movies, you’d definitely win an Oscar. As Zhang Yi entered the supermarket, he pushed a shopping cart and headed inside. Fang Yuqing and Li Cai Ning quickly followed suit, pushing their own carts. “Zhang Yi, were you eating with someone special?” Fang Yuqing asked with a smile. Zhang Yi walked toward the food section and replied coldly, “Can’t I eat by myself?” Fang Yuqing’s eyes lit up, and she hurriedly said, “Oh, that’s not what I meant! I just thought the food there was pretty expensive, and I figured you were treating someone!” Li Cai Ning couldn’t help but ask, “Zhang Yi, your monthly salary is just over ten thousand, right? That meal must have cost you half a year’s salary.” “It seems your family must give you quite a bit of allowance,” she added. Fang Yuqing shot Li Cai Ning a fierce glare. Idiot, how could you ask such a thing?! As a top-tier green tea, the most important rule is: talk about feelings with the rich and money with the poor. Realizing she had misspoken, Li Cai Ning quickly tried to recover. “Haha, I was just joking. We’re all good friends, so money really doesn’t matter.” But Zhang Yi ignored them entirely. He reached the food section and gazed at the shelves filled with a wide array of products, feeling as if he had entered a treasure trove. In his past life, he had experienced the feeling of eating a single pack of instant noodles for two days. So he had an insatiable desire for food. Zhang Yi walked straight to the shelves and began tossing everything into his shopping cart.
