Chapter 14

Sapphair (p.o.v)

I groaned as I opened my eyes, I sat up quickly wondering what time it was. My eyes widen, it was 8.10 am. Why didn't my alarm rang at 8.00 am. I looked at my alarm clock and was surprised to see it was off. Maybe I forgot to on it, though I knew that I did on it, but then how can it close itself. I shook my head at my thoughts and quickly got up to make breakfast for Victoria.

Ruby was not on the bed so I thought maybe she was in the toilet.

"Ruby why didn't you wake me up, when you woke up" I shouted.

She didn't answer me and I got worried, she always reply to me. I ran to the toilet to find it empty. Shock ran through me, where was Ruby?Maybe she was already downstairs making breakfast, she loves surprising me. I ran all the way to the Kitchen to see it empty. Now I was worried, where could she have gone?

I looked at the time, I had 15 minutes to make the breakfast and give it to Victoria. Ruby should be here in the house, I am sure I find her but I had to make breakfast for Victoria first. I quickly made scrambled egg and toast without butter and a glass of milk without sugar. I put everything on the tray and quickly ran to Victoria room just as the clock struck 8.30 am. I knocked on her door.

"Come in" She said.

I entered in and she smiled at me.

"I see you know your job now and well done for bringing my breakfast on time, carry on the good work" She said.

I smiled but on the inside I was worried sick. Ruby was missing and I have no idea where she could be.

I quickly said bye and started to look for Ruby. The cleaning cleaning could wait, Ruby was more important. I looked everywhere upstairs, downstairs, in the guest rooms and even in the horrible place where the jerk locked me, she was nowhere to be seen. Tears stared to prick my eyes, I just lost my sister. Maybe Ryan might know anything but where is he. He was the guard so probably outside. I ran outside and found him no where. Another guard was standing there, I walked over to him.

"Hi sir, um have you see Ryan" I asked.

He looked me up and down and made a disgusted face. How rude, but then I looked at my self and found out I was still wearing last night clothes and they were wrinkles on it now and my hair were everywhere. I probably looked like a ghost which just woke up form its grave. I smiled and asked again.

"He is Sir guard and is out with him, he back back in an hour or 2" He replied.

"1 or 2 hours, no I couldn't wait for that long" I muttered.

"You said something miss" He asked.

I shook my head.

"Um have you seen an young girl with blond hair, she is this much" I said pointing to my waist.

He shook his head. "Sorry miss she is probably exploring, relax look again, I would have helped you but I have a duty myself, hope you find her"

I thanked him and went inside to look for her again. I looked for lord know how long. I still had cleaning to do. I had to look for her at my free time, I couldn't just ignore my job or we might get kicked out, which was a no no.

I quickly cleaned all the sitting rooms and living room. Then I ran upstairs to clean the 2 guest rooms. By the time I was finished my breathing was hard and my legs tired, But I still had to look for Ruby. I had 2 hours break, I had to find her no matter what, she might be so worried.

I started form upstairs again and checked all the rooms on the second story while calling out for Ruby. There was still no sign of her, I ran to our bedroom and cried. I am such as bad sister, I couldn't look after my sister, Oh god where is she, she might be so scared, I wish I could just kill my self. I mean who loses their sister in a house, well in a mansion. I wiped my tears, but there was no point as more came running out. I dont know how long i sat there, it was until I heard a knock on our door. I looked at my self in the mirror. I looked like s**t, what if it was Victoria.

"Coming" I said quickly while wiping my eyes and sorting my hair with my hand. I looked at my clothes oh well this would have to do. The knock came again and i opened it to see Ryan standing there smiling. He looked at me and his smiled vanished.

"What happened miss, you been crying, Mike told me you were looking for me" He asked worried.

I could't control my self and hugged him while sobbing. He looked shocked, but then pat me on my back.

"Its OK miss, tell me what happened" He said.

I untangle my self from him and blushed, I mean he like like an year older than me and I hugged him, how embarrassing and he smirked to which I blushed harder and to which he laughed. His laugh was deep and it send butterflies in my stomach.

I wiped my eyes and told him how Ruby was missing and that I checked everywhere but could not find her.

He furrowed his eyebrow as to think.

"OK have you checked the dungeon" he asked.

"Dungeon, but what would she be doing there" I asked.

"I dont know, maybe she got lost" He replied.

"No I haven't, I dont know where it is" I said.

"Its OK, I know where it is, you not supposed to see where it is" He said

I looked at him confused.

"Why" I asked

He just shrugged "I dont know, its sir's order"

I narrowed my eyes at that. Why does he not want me to know where the dungeon is, what is so special about it. Different thoughts were running through my mind.

"So now what" I said.

"You stay here miss, I go look and if she is there I bring her" He said.

I nodded my head and prayed with all my heart that she was there. He left me standing there with a question on my mind.

Why does the jerk not want me to know where the dungeon is?
