Chapter 20

Rhyn (P.O.V)

I sit on my bed feeling drained and upset of what I did to Sapphair. I had to do it for her safety.

I know your wondering why the hell did I do this to Sapphair, when she trusted me enough to tell me about her past.

What can I say, after the talk I had with Blake yesterday, I knew I had to do it, I knew I had to make her hate me.

Flashback - Yesterday

“Ryan, come to my bedroom now!!!“.

I stood up from the sofa and ran to see what Sir needed me for. When I reached his door, I knocked on the door.

“Come in Ryan, you know you don’t need to knock when coming to my bedroom” He said.

I smiled and entered in. “Well, you’re my sir and I have to respect your privacy and it is rude for us assistant to enter our boss bedroom without his permission.” I said

He rolled his eyes at me. “You know I don’t consider you my assistant” He said.

“I know, you see me as your brother, but I still can’t break the boundaries” I replied.

“Ok anyway, come sit I need to talk to you about the slave” He said.

This caught my interest, why would sir need to talk about Sapphair when he clearly hates her. I went to him and sat down next to him.

“Ok, I need your help to kick this slave out, she slapped me, I mean how dare she” He said.

I was shocked, wow I never knew Sapphair had it in her. “Really” I said trying hard not to smile. He looked at me and narrowed his eyes. “You find this funny” He said.

“Nope, not at all sir” I said still backing down my smile before it appears.

“How do you want to punish her” I asked

“Oh, I am going to trap her sister in the dungeon and make her feel like she is a bad sister” He said.

“What” I asked shocked.

“Yep, you heard right” He said.

“But sir don’t you think that is a bit extreme, I mean the dungeon for a 7-year-old is not good” I said.

“Omg bro, don’t tell me you like this Sapphair girl” He said.

“Me, no way” I said lying. Yep you guys heard right, I like Sapphair, from the first time I set my eyes on her.

“Good, because bro if you do, our friendship is broken and you lose your job, and you will end up on the street with out any money coming from me. Oh, and after I kick you out, I will make sure her life is a living hell” He said in a serious tone.

I gulped down my fear. I known Blake for a year now and I know when he is serious and when he is not. But what he said, I know he is serious. I can’t believe he hates her so much that he will break our 1-year friendship in a heat beat. I felt hurt, that was for sure. Then I remember my mom and how my situation was before I got this job. I shuddered, I did not want to even think about it.

Now I knew, I could not like Sapphair, because if I do Blake will seriously hurt her and I did not want that as I won’t be there to warn or protect her.

“Oh, don’t worry, sir that is never going to happen” I said just to reassure Blake that I did not like her, when obviously I do.

“Good, I knew I could trust on you, so this is what you’re going to do”. He said.

I listen to him and nodded my head in understanding.

“Good, now I need rest, I call you if I need anything” He said.

“Yes sir” I said and went to my room.

Flashback ends

Now I bet your wondering what was Blake plan. Well he told me to arrange a meeting for a deal in Brazil, so that Victoria can go to Brazil for 2 week and Ryan can torture her and make her so helpless that she will go from here without him telling her.

So now you know why Victoria is going to Brazil all of a sudden.

I lied down on my bed and closed my eyes. The kiss came back running to me. I snapped open my eyes and tried to forget the moment, but unable to. Her lips were soft and the kiss was amazing. It was a different kiss from all the other girls I kissed. Suddenly the reality hit me hard, I f*****g kissed her, when I should not have and now she hates me.

But this is what you want, my mind says, its for her safety you had to do it. I relaxed at that, I was protecting her and I somehow need to tell her the plan that Blake made.

But why would she trust you, my mind says. Oh, what about Blake, if you tell Sapphair, then she will know what Blake is doing to her and she will not break down, this might raise suspicion to Blake as if to why she is not breaking down. He will know straight away that I told her as I am the only one who knows about this. Then I will surely get kicked out and what about my mum, she is lying down in her bed still sick. Thinking about going on the street was not an option. I had to keep quite for my mum sake.

Arg, why is my life so hard, why did I have to like Sapphair? Why can’t I hate her like Blake?

You also might be wondering about my past that I told to Sapphair. I know Blake told me to lie to her, but I didn’t. I told her the truth about my past expect for the part when I told her my mum was well, she is not.

I sighed in frustration and anger and close my eyes again to get some sleep.
