Chapter 23
Sapphair (P.o.v) I look at Ruby sleeping on the cold single bed. I felt like crying, I thought Ruby would be safe here but its worse than when we were living in the railway. I looked around the dark room at the cages around us filled with dangerous animals. I was glad that they were all asleep but worried about how long we were going to stay here. I don’t know when I fell asleep, but I woke up with footsteps near the door. I got up and looked at Ruby still sleeping. “Anyone there” I shouted but stopped when I looked at the animals who were sleep thank god. I heard the door opening and shielded my eyes from the light which came seeping from the door. After about 5 seconds I looked up to see Ryan standing outside the room with a tray fill with food.
