I sighed, running my fingers down my dress that I had bought for the mating ceremony, it was a first - I was normally a bodyguard at the mating ceremony and the last time I was there was two years ago.
When he rejected me and I rejected him, funny that. "You want me to sip you up, Beta Emma?" I heard someone ask behind me and I turned to face - Dinah.
"Please, Dinah. And call me Emma, please." I say and she nods before walking towards me - I pulled my hair away from my neck and Dinah grabbed the zip and pulled it up before I flattened my hair.
"You look beautiful," She comments and I look at myself in the mirror - instantly feeling myself become self-confident. "Don't think of it like that Emma, you are." She says, instantly sensing a shift in my happiness.
"Thank you, Dinah," I say, before turning around and grabbing my heels from the side of my room and slipped them on - causing me to go two inches taller. I was only 5'2, but with the heels on I was 5'4.
Dinah grabbed a necklace from my windowsill and put it around my neck - and clipping it, I closed my eyes when the cool metal hit my skin around my neck. "Dinah, remember the last time I did this?" I asked, feeling the tears pile up in my eyes.
"Woah, no - we're not talking about your ass off an ex." She says, before turning me around and starts to do my makeup. Dinah has been one of my friends for years - and I loved her, so much because she had helped me through a lot.
"Dinah..." I whispered and she pushed her finger against my lips.
"Shh, let's not talk about that ass - not now." She says, before finishing off the last of my makeup.

Dinah and I walked into the ballroom - Dinah smelt in before looking over to me and whispered in my ear. "I've found my mate," She says, before nodding towards my brother and I nearly screached.
I was happy beyond belief because they were already girlfriend and boyfriend, and I didn't realize but I had smelt deep in - a scent of wood and pine. "I'm guessing you did too because you're body instantly lurched forward." She says, and I look around the room.
Aliana, my sister - had her arms around a blood moon pack member which I thought of being her mate. I felt a small tug at the edges of my lips before the smell got stronger - and it wasn't until I felt his presence behind me, did Dinah walk away from me.
"Mine," He whispers, from behind me - I turned to see Alpha King behind me. My eyes widened before I smelt it, and it was strong - pine and wood. I felt a smug smile tug at the edge of my lips.
"Emma!" Diego shouted and I turned my head to look back at him. "There's an attack going on, We need you out." He shouts, looking apologetic and I heaved a sigh in - I hated this before I turned to look at King.
"I'm sorry, I've got to do this," I say, and he looks down at me.
"You're a warrior?" He questions and I sigh before nodding.
"The only female warrior in my pack, I'm sorry. I really have to go." I say, heaving a sigh before walking away but hearing a small laugh behind me.
"Our warriors will help out," He shouts and I turn to look at him before sighing and shaking my head.
"We've got it, love," I say before sprinting out of the pack house, sighing - I gripped the edges of my dress and pulled it down - throwing it across the wood floor and started to shift into my wolf. Samantha.
She was a very sarcastic wolf. My wolf growled as we trambled towards the rouges at the edge of the forest but someone opened the mindlink. 'Be safe, please sweetheart.' I felt a smirk tug at the edges of my lips before fighting my way through the rouges.
