Dressed in their holiday finest, they headed into Saddle Creek. Chase, Lauren and Cameron led the way in the truck; Steve and Charlotte followed in the car. The inch or so of snow today had frozen on the roads, making them treacherous so they drove slowly. Chase checked the rearview mirror frequently; made sure Lauren's parents followed. Most of the streets were deserted as they drove through town, but the town was lit up with various colors and shapes of Christmas lights.
