Cathy shrugged, "The current Marquise seems to hold a grudge against me. She has been targeting me since we first met today. I thought it must be due to the hot weather of summer, so I suggested she take a dip in the lake to refresh her mind."
Julian shifted his gaze back and asked sternly, "And what about you?"
Cathy looked at him and replied with a raised face, "I invited her down, so naturally, I had to personally invite her up. After all, she is the Marquise. I need to jump in myself and make connections with her."
Julian sneered, "You certainly know how to make connections."
Cathy made a sound of agreement, "She was very enthusiastic when she saw me, and it's really hard to refuse."
