Third Person's POV Sure enough, after whatever Camille said, Archer released his grip on the closet door and said, "I'll be right there." He then quickly walked out of the room without looking back. Melanie watched him leave and didn't call out to him. A moment later, she heard the sound of a car starting—Archer was gone. She closed her eyes, calmly turned off the small bedside lamp, and went to sleep. The next morning, Melanie woke up shortly after six, since she needed to take Trista to school.
