Chapter 32: The promise"I am sorry if I have done this to you," he surprisingly apologized, bringing me clueless of his reason and I was completely taken aback by it. I had no idea that the alpha was capable of apologizing to someone who was of a lesser rank than him until today. "I had a dream in which I saw you taking good care of me. It was all a dream until my mother whispered to me that you were with me all the while, and then it became real." W-What? His words continued, "You've worked hard and taken care of things that aren't your duty," and they made my skin crawl with bizarre. I was most perplexed, though, especially when he abruptly brought up the subject of his mother.
