In the hall, there was a small monitor on the wall that suddenly clicked on, revealing a video feed displaying both Alex and Zane. At the same time, a shimmering silver mist appeared around them briefly.
I watched Zane collapse onto the ground, gripping his chest as he looked towards the door.
“What did you do?” I hissed.
“Silver powder, hand over the gem and come back to me willingly, or they will die if an antidote is not administered within the next two hours.” Kendric explained.
