The last couple of days were not so bad. I had finally understood why so many vampires liked coming to this city. There were a ton of people to feed off of. Especially downtown. There were a lot of people who were homeless who didn't have anyone looking for them, making them an easy target.
The sheer number of options was ridiculous, and I was surprised I hadn't run into any other vampires. Then again, although there were so many people, almost all of them were on drugs, making their blood taste rotten. It was also a way for vampires to feel the effects of the drugs without having to do them.
I found out the hard way. I was hungry, and all the animals in the surrounding parks were small. And as much as I wanted to, I couldn't go into the zoo and feed off the larger animals.
