Epilogue “Eve, honey, did you get the popcorn?" Atticus called to her from the kitchen just as Eve placed the giant bowl of hot, salted popcorn on the coffee table. "Yes," she answered. "The hot chocolate is still on the counter." She stood up in time to see Atticus walking through the hallway, not carrying two mugs of hot chocolate, but instead holding a tiny orange ball of fur. She smiled, the man hadn't put their new kitten down for more than two minutes since they picked him up yesterday at the animal shelter. "Merlin," Atticus spoke to the orange fluff sticking out of his cupped hands. "These are your grandparents." Atticus stopped in front of Eve's parent's wedding photo and held the tiny kitten up to see. "Merlin isn't old enough to understand about grandparents," Eve pretended
