SHEA CONFRONTS CONNIE
Using her phone once again as a flashlight, she left the latrine and trekked to the trail leading up to Summit where she’d met with Fake Doctor Linda.
It pissed her off that Ramirez treated Indigo the way they did, tossing her out like a bag of trash. Plus, Indigo would have had an easier time convincing Megan to leave than she did.
Shea’s leg burned as the grade up the hill steepened. Shea leaned more and more on the stick that Rory had given her.
When she reached the camp, she made a beeline for Fake Doctor Linda’s cabin. Without bothering to knock, she stormed into the main room where Linda sat with a drink in hand talking with another woman, who sat with her back to Shea. A bottle of wine sat between them on the coffee table.
