NO MORE PILLS
So, you’re the nurse practitioner pretending to be a doctor. The quack who let one of their own die rather than take her to the hospital until it was too late. Shea wondered if the rest of the members of the cult knew she was a hack.
The woman stood as they entered.
“Pleased to meet you, Shea. I’m Linda Steele, though everyone calls me Dr. Linda.” She smiled broadly and extended her hand. “Please have a seat.”
Shea sat in a chair on the other side of the desk. Taking the weight off her leg seemed to help, but her knee still throbbed. At least the chair was softer than the rock she’d been sitting on for the past hour.
“I’ll leave you to it,” Rory smiled and exited, closing the door behind her.
