As soon as I walked into the house, mom stormed to me.
"Where are you coming from?", She asked.
"From Carter's", I replied.
"And?", she demanded, and I stared blankly at her. I honestly had no idea what she expected me to add. I thought I was supposed to be with him.
"What do you want me to say, mom?", I asked, tiredly. Her eyes hardened at me.
"What new information did you get concerning your sister's murder?", She asked, and I remained silent. I assumed after telling her about Charlotte's ailment, she would see new possibilities and bring up new ways to tackle it.
Apparently, I was wrong. Mom would only believe what she wanted to.
