Chapter 1

There was a clear shape of footprints on my stomach with gashes. Though the worst part was my rib it was almost poking out of the skin. "This will hurt, but I have to put it back and wrap it." She looked at me with gentled but horror-filled eyes. I just simply nodded at her. She put her hand on the rib and pushed it back in as well as she could. She cringed when she heard the snapping and my scream of pain. Her eyes filled with pity and sorrow as she lifted me to put the bandage around me. Once she was done with the rib she slowly disinfected my other wounds. Her hand wiped off my face and wiped away something. She wiped away my tears. I didn't know that I had any more tears left. "Thank you," I said softly to her. "Why do you stay and let them do this to you?" She asked me confused and angry. "I want to leave, but my wolf won't let me leave." She stood there confused and angry but calmed down and sat down. She growled without meaning so I flinched and went to a ball form. She touched my shoulder and told me it was okay and she wasn't going to hurt me. My body slowly uncurled and I whimpered in pain. She lifted the tattered shirt that was hanging on by shreds and rechecked my wounds. She smiled at me when she saw that they were okay. I instantly relaxed but got worried when her face turned serious. "I have to go, but if you ever change your mind about leaving I will help." She put her hand on my shoulder saying seriously with no humour. I nodded at her and she walked up the stairs and looked back at me with a sad look in her eye. After she left I moved myself to a sitting position using the wall as support. I looked at Jake crying and shaking not knowing what he would do. My wolf was howling at me to go to him, but my head told me not to, he will hurt us. I saw his brown hair, and his perfect brown eyes but his eyes held a story of his own. His muscular body stood frozen, and his face was an emotion-filled battlefield. Though he stood still with the look of shock, and confusion. I started to pull myself up against the wall. He broke out of his confusion and walked towards me. I braced myself and started growling at him each time he got closer. He started to shake with anger and moved faster. I realised growling was a mistake, but he surprised me by wrapping his arms around me and putting his nose on my neck. He slowly moved his mouth up to my ear. He laughed, " Did you think I would want someone like you?" He snarled in my ear. "I, Jake Monroe, Alpha of the Moonstone pack reject you as Luna and my mate, Alesia Montza." I looked at him after he said those cruel words. He used the arms he had around me and crushed me with his strength. I gasped for air as he let me hit the floor. He simply smirked at me as the rejection hit full force. It felt like there was a burning hole in the middle of my body. I screamed as loud as I could and gripped my chest wanting the pain to stop. My wolf howled in pain and struggled to accept what had just happened. I stood up and gripped the wall even though my body protested, and looked at him with all the hatred I had. "I, Alesia Montza, omega of the Moon pack accept your rejection, Alpha Jake Monroe." Spitting it out like it was acid on my tongue. I watched as his face filled with horror and pain as the rejection hit him. He screamed, writhing in pain. His beta came down the stairs and grabbed him upstairs. I fell to the ground taking shallow breaths as the pain started to get worse making me scream in agony. Soon Rose moved down the stairs to me and hugged me trying to console me. " I want to leave," I said quietly to her. She nodded at me and smiled "Are you ready now? Right now is most likely the only chance you’d ever get.” She looked at me with serious eyes. “Yes I am.” I said. “Follow me” I gripped on to her shoulder as we climbed up the stairs to the place I hadn't seen in ten years. The light was so bright, but I just focused on Rose and breathing right. When we snuck around the house, and got to the front door. I moved over, and Rose pulled open the door. Rose shifted and nudged me up on her back. She put the bag in her mouth that was on her shoulder, and started to run towards the woods. We came to the boundary line and I smiled. We walked past the line feeling the connection breaking like strings that were bound to them. We smiled at each other. I collapsed to the ground as we broke ties with them crying tears of pain, happiness, and hatred all at the same time. Rose touched my shoulder smiling softly at me, her eyes filled with happiness, and yet sadness with them. My breathing shallow hurting from where my ex mate arms had crushed me. I felt empty and my wolf kept howling in pain. I fell to the ground as the blackness took over... I woke up to being on the back of Roses wolf form her pitch black fur tickled my stomach. Her wolf was beautiful, it had pitch black hair like her, and her brown eyes were the same as her, just a bit of green twisted into them now. I moved letting her know I was awake and tried to push myself up, but whimpered in pain. Rose growled at me, but howled softly at me. I patted her back as she kept walking as I gripped her fur. I made noise each time we hit a rough part she saw a cave, and she walked in . She slid me off slowly off her back and changed back, putting her clothes back on. My breathing was getting heavy, and the pain didn't let up. She looked at me with worry, and lifted up my shirt checking to see if anything was broken. She felt my ribs and I whimpered. She looked at me with anger, and sadness. " They are all broken, and I don't know if I can fix it." Her voice cracked. I looked over to see her crying, and I lifted my hand up to wipe away her tears. Her face had big tears going down it, and her lip was quivering. She just kept crying, I grabbed her face and moved it in my direction. “Why are you crying rose?” I asked softly. “I just don’t understand why all this is happening to you.” “I am fine, I have you and good memories of how it used to be and that’s all I need.” I whispered out softly. “You are too good of a person, you don’t deserve any of this. You had such a beautiful life and now you’ve lost it all, i’m sorry.” She replied softly. I smiled at her but she tensed up and started crying again. “But I must head back now, or he’d suspect something.” Her voice cracked.
