I must have forgot to set my alarm, because I overslept for more than 3 hours.
I glanced over at the mirror and cringed at my own reflection, everyone was right. I looked like the same girl everyone described me as. The same little sad girl I’ve been looking at for almost my entire life.
Yesterday was the anniversary of my mother’s death. At some point I was happy but all good things must come to an end. My mom used to tell me I was special with my beautiful eyes.
Ever since I was little my eyes would change colours based on my feelings, she would have me wear contacts so no one would steal my eyes as she put it. The contacts made my eyes look boring brown.
Based on my feelings my eyes would change but most of the time they would stay clear, representing numbness.
“Beep..Beep..Beep” I hadn’t realised how lost I was in my head till my phone beeped, then there was a knock on my door “come in” I whispered.
“Um, are we going to talk about this?” Walter asked, narrowing his gaze on me.
“What do you mean?” I tried to play it off
“ you know what I mean Sia” sadness lacing in his voice.
I just stared at him blankly
“ Look I’m sorry about your mom but your pack needs you.”
“Please don’t, I can’t handle it again. I'm broken, damaged, hurt and tired. I can't.”
“Don’t say that princess you’re the strongest Alpha I know, don’t succumb to this phase. Remember how much effort you put to get here!”
“We must train at the Red Demon Park,” I said walking out of my room.
“I’ll go get Gabriel.”
“You did great at training today, I must say I’m impressed by your efforts.” I said smiling at Gabriel
“Thank you Alpha, but why do we need to train so hard? You're an Alpha already, I don't think we’ve got any more enemies.”
“Moonlight pack has and will always have enemies and we must be prepared. I hate surprises. You’d be resuming college soon if you’re not in control of your wolf you’d get bullied and messed with all the time. I want you to be great because when the time is right you’d have to fight beside me.”
“Enemies? Why would anyone want to harm us? We've been through enough already. I’ll train harder so I can fight like you.”
“ Who wouldn’t be envious of our pack? Despite everything that came at us we fought back, became strong and are now one of the largest and strongest packs to exist.”
“Do I really have to go to college? Why don’t I stay back and see to the affairs of our pack, there’s much I’m yet to know about Moonlight”
“Listen to me Gabriel I’m not negotiating with you, you must attend college I’m doing all of this for you I didn’t have the opportunity to finish college I won’t deprive you of that, learn how to live with people understand and tolerate people who are from other packs and maybe you’d find your mate, I’m not raising a gullible man.”
“Thank you Alpha.”
“We should head home, it's getting dark.” I said standing on all fours
“Alpha, on your schedule tomorrow, you’re to see the trainees of our pack and rate their progress so far”
“Oh, what time tomorrow Damon?”
“Noon.”
“Okay good, you may leave”
I stared up at the bright sun that was making me want to kill myself because on how hot it is. I groaned out and cracked my knuckle. My attention went in front of me seeing the line of people standing there stiffly. Besides me, a trainee on the floor was almost knocked out.
"So who's next?" I asked. None of them bothered to raise their hands and I let out a big laugh.
"Ok you guys can spar with each other, and someone take him to the infirmary." I pointed at the boy laying on the ground. They all nodded their heads and got together with their partners.
I took a seat on a log and watched them spar with each other.
"Alesia!" Arms wrapped around my neck and other small ones wrapped around my arm. I glanced at the little gremlins and sighed out.
"David and the two mice are here." I said.
"Hey we're not mice!" Quincy cried out.
"Yeah what he said!" Ariel agreed.
"Oh my bad, the three musketeers." I laughed out loud.
David has been adjusting very well here, and even made new friends. These three are little troublemakers I tell you. Causing mischief everywhere they go
"Aren't y’all supposed to be in the daycare?" I questioned them. They all started to glance towards each other and I curled up an eyebrow.
"You three, ran away from the daycare?" I asked them and stood up. They were hanging off of me very tightly.
"Listen to what we have to say!" David tries to negotiate.
"Aht aht, let's go. Damon watch the youngsters while I take care of the three amigos." I ordered.
Damon nodded his head and I began to drag the three children towards where the little festivities for children should be at.”
They tried to negotiate with me again but I ignored them. Ever since I started training the young pack warriors they've been trying to get in on it too. Which I do not think they should just yet. They're only 7 years old, I want them to enjoy being a kid before fighting off other werewolves.
I arrived at the daycare where kids come to while the parents do their pack duties. I've been here plenty of times these days.
"Alesias here!" Nathan yelled. Little eyes landed on me and before you know it I was swarmed around little kids. They for some reason took a great liking to the very first day. I do not know why, well I do know why exactly.
"My little pups!" Nyx appeared right on time with open arms. Some children stuck with me while others went to Nyx.
