When we get back to the mansion, Nate ushers me into the building, but we don’t go to the top floor. Instead, Nate pulls me into his office on the first floor and closes the door firmly behind us. I gasp softly as he does this and then locks the door into place. “Uhm, Nate?”
He smirks over at me with a wolfish grin and shakes his head slowly. “Calm down, Lily. I just don’t want someone walking in on us while we are talking about the curse. It’s a pretty taboo subject within the pack and I don’t want the whole pack knowing what we are about to discuss.”
I sigh, but then I frown slightly. “Oh…”
He chuckles. “You seem a bit upset, little bunny.” His eyes go dark. “Is there a reason for that?”
I blush slightly and purse my lips. “No,” I lied quickly.
