After the loud bang, the boys, the three new mates, and I all rushed to the elevator to make our escape back upstairs. We dummy locked the cage doors before we left, just so the girls knew that we would be coming back and they didn’t lose all hope again just because we actually locked the locks. Once we got to the elevator, Noah quickly pushed the up button to get the elevator to ding open so we could all rush inside and make it back upstairs in time to sneak the girls back into a safe place.
When the elevator dinged open, I was caught off guard by the horrible scene in front of me.
