I shake my head slowly at his words and look between the two of them. “Uhm… Are either of you going to explain what the hell that even means?”
Nate sighs and nods his head slowly as he looks at Thomas. Thomas smirks and rolls his eyes. “I’ll leave the two of you alone to chat.” He quickly makes an exit and I fold my arms over my chest as I stare at Nate.
He runs a hand over his face in slight embarrassment as he eyes me. “So… What I mean is this… I knew these things were going on. I knew that my parents were doing this, I just… I didn’t have the support that I needed in order to fight them on it.”
