The days kept rolling and it didn't stop coming. Day after day, night after night. Lana had become used to Blackmoor’s prestigious dungeon. A bright shadow of casting light has been enkindled in the heart of this young city girl.
She now spends most of her time in the library, it'll take her more than 24hours to tidy the entire library. But Lana wouldn't mind spending weeks buried within the vast embrace of unending knowledge.
She drew closer to a shelf in the library as she spot a book titled The Don’s Female Slave. She pulled it out of the shelf, she used her eyes to survey the entirety of this book as she used her palms to caress it softly.
“An impeccable taste indeed!” a deep voice said from amidst the covers of two wooden shelves
Lana immediately turns to see who it was, yes her hunch was right, it was Blackmoor. He then matched out of the midst of the two shelves as he drew closer to where Lana stood.
As he drew closer to Lana, every single step he took commanded a sense of authority. His walking step, he composure and the face sinister smile he wore across his face, provoke a deep sense of fright in Lana's heart that she felt like running away from Blackmoor instantly.
But Lana stood still as she tried to surpress the tingling sense of fright that erupted within her.
“You love the story?” Lana muttered out as she struggles to find her voice
Blackmoor gave a gentle smirk and said
“Love? No, this story motivates me” he said as he chuckles inauspiciously
Blackmoor then haves deep into Lana's eyes as he narrates the story.
“It tells a story about a Mexican Mafian Baron, he bought a slave girl at an auction plaza. He took her home, and kept her in his prestigious mansion as a trophy of prestige. A lot of things happened here and there, but for me other parts of the story was just watered down in impossibility”
Blackmoor’s provoked a sense of curiosity in Lana.
“Why? What happened in the other parts of the story?” Lana asked
Blackmoor sighed with a heavy breathe and said
“Well you're a bookworm right? Read it and find out yourself”
Immediately he said this, he turned around and walked away. Lana stood still, her head wrapped around the thoughts of Blackmoor’s words. What exactly is in this book that made Blackmoor to be motivated by it so much? She thought to herself.
Lana had spent hours in the library and was soon becoming a bit fed up of it so she decided to take a break, for about an hour or two. She stepped towards the entrance of the door as she used her two hands to pull the doors open.
She stepped out and shut both doors, but then when she stepped out she noticed something strange. The entire mansion was so quiet, although the mansion is always quiet, but this one was different.
Not a single muttering or whispers could be heard, even if a pin was to be dropped on the thick rug it would be heard from a mile away.
Lana soon stood still, as she tried to see if she could maybe hear mutterings coming from Blackmoor's office or any direction in the house, but yet nothing.
“Am I really the only one in this mansion? Where might they have gone to?” She thought to herself
She slowly climbed up the stairs, to the second floor where Blackmoor's office was. She approached Blackmoor's office slowly, she wanted to know if she was really the only one in the house.
As she drew closer to the doors of Blackmoor's office, the spark of her subconsciousness hint something to her.
“Why not just go to your room and lay await peacefully” she thought to herself
But then, the closer she drew to Blackmoor's office the heights of her curiosity kept increasing. As drew closer to the door and spyed into the office, the door was slightly open. She tried to rest her head close to the door to see if she could atleast hear the sound of Blackmoor's heavy breath.
But she heard nothing, it seemed as though nobody was inside the office. But the door was slightly open, so Lana pushed the door open with a gentle nudge. It was not her first time in this office, but for some reason the aura felt different, the office was quiet and peaceful.
Lana walked into the office, counting every single step she took. As her feet smashes against the thick rugs in Blackmoor's office her heart continues to pant in constant insecurity.
She felt as though what she was doing could launch her into a load of trouble, but as they say “curiosity kills the cat”. Lana felt a need to explore what lies within the walls of Blackmoor's office.
She moved closer to Blackmoor's desk, and pulled the drawers opened. The drawer were loaded with piles and pieces of files and paperworks. As she stretched out to pull out a brown file from the drawer, she paused for a moment or two.
She felt like she was being watched by someone or something, she was being stalked by her obscure imaginations. She quickly put the brown file back into the drawer and gently closed the drawer. She stepped back from the desk as though it stung her.
She turned around and quickly raced out of Blackmoor's office. She came out of the office and tried to fix the door the same way she saw it. As she struggled with the door, the sudden sound of Blackmoor's voice struck her hard.
“So did you find what you were looking for?” Blackmoor said as he stood beside the door
The sudden out-roar of Blackmoor's voice almost ripped Lana soul from her body. Infact it had ripped her soul and her sanity away.
“Jesus!” Lana exclaimed
“Am sorry I didn't see you there. I…I ju…ju…just wanted to……” Lana said as she struggled to find her voice
“Enough Miss Winters!” Dominic Blackmoor proclaimed
Lana was frozen, her heart raced as she pants in deep fright. She struggles to grab a hold of her breath.
“So it is true what they say, when the cat leaves the house, the rat plays around and becomes the new owner” Blackmoor said with his gaze fix on Lana's eyeballs.
The strong grip of his maleficent gaze was more than enough to scare Lana to death. Lana didn't know what to say, she could utter a single word.
Suddenly, Caldwell walked out from amidst the far end of Blackmoor's dark hallway.
“Miss Winters!” He said as he called to Lana's attention.
But Lana could muscle up the courage to depart from Blackmoor's presence. She wouldn't move an inch unless commanded to do say.
Blackmoor chuckle gently as he made a slight nudge with his head signaling Lana to go to him. But yet Lana couldn't move, she struggled and staggers unconsciously as she tries to turn away from Blackmoor's presence.
She then turned around slowly about to walk away, when yet again Blackmoor called to her attention.
“Miss Lana!” He called out
Lana stood still at once with a keen ears to listen and her back against Blackmoor.
“You should be careful the way you roam around this mansion, it's for your own good” Blackmoor said with a voice that commanded fear
Lana soon understood that this was Blackmoor's final statement. She gulped a bucket of saliva down her throat as she walked away like a wounded reindeer. Blackmoor's word had pricked her, perhaps Caldwell's call was the saving grace for her.
But then, Lana couldn't help but ponder upon the deep context of Blackmoor's last statement.
“What did he mean by it's for my own good?” She thought to herself………
